Oh brother, now Hillarys got a botched joke.
MSNBC won't stop replaying some video clip of Hillary Clinton repeating a question about "evil and bad men" or something like that, and she got a nice little pop of laughs from the crowd. So whats the big deal? Why replay this on the news over and over?

She was repeating the persons question and now people think she called her hubby evil and bad.

Can we move on? I have MORE serious questions for Senator Clinton then this...

:eyes:

1. why don't you fire off an email to Dan Abrams?
I don't know what this clip is that you're talking about, but a complaint to Abrams coudlnt hurt.

4. Good idea.
Will do.

This isn't news. And all I can see if the GOP foaming out of the mouth to use it. I haven't watched CNN or FOX News (rightfully so) today, have they focused on this too?

They have talking about HRC on Iraq as well, but this seems to get just as much if not more coverage. And the serious question I have for MSNBC is why?

Sheesh, I haven't wanted to throw my remote at the TV since I saw the cable television networks focusing on if American Idol is too mean :banghead:

14. They have been covering it all morning.
First thing I saw when I turned on the tube this morning. I'm sure they haven't let up yet.

2. We don't know what the people were thinking.
They could have been thinking of the Bush admin.

We also don't know who Hillary was referring to.

This is just red meat for some folks that require virtually no provocation to trash HRC regardless of how absurdly unreasonable that full-on assault is with little or no information - still they're easy to pick out from the herd with that kind of knee-jerk rhetoric.

12. She later told reporters that she was definitely not referring to her husband
she seemed angry that reporters seemed to think she was talking about Bill. I think the media is spreading the story because they wish she had been talking about Bill, and so they're adding a little drama by insinuating that she was.

3. It's MSRNC's intent to connect that joke the former President.
When it's taken *IN CONTEXT* it's clear that she meant Ken Starr, the Managers of the Impeachment hearings, and the leadership of the GOP.

6. "Evil and bad men" is Hillary's version of Bush's "axis of evil."
Hillary holds similar views to Joe Lieberman when it comes to war and the Middle East. Her shift of position on Iraq is purely tactical, and is not borne out of conviction. She still believes in the war, she just thinks she can do a better job than Bush at killing Iraqis and attacking Iran.

11. I'd love to see you back up the statement inside your post
but then again, when have you ever backed up any of the propaganda you've spewed about Hillary?

What a load.

17. Pope John Paul II warned Bush that if he went into Iraq, he would do so without G-d.
To a moral person like JPII (even to those that don't subscribe to his entire theology), the war in Iraq was evil, pure and simple. Hillary fails the morality test in that the only fault she finds with Bush is that he botched the war. A moral person would say that the war in Iraq was a war of aggression, and a crime against peace according to the Nuremberg precedent.

Show some proof that she believes she "can do a better job killing Iraqis"

It is particularly vile and disturbing to see a woman DUer talking out of her ass.

Shame on you

16. Hillary never criticizes the morality or legality of the war in Iraq
Hillary's criticism of Bush is limited to Bush's handling and planning of the war. Hillary should acquaint herself with the Nuremberg Trials. Planning a war of aggression, which is what Iraq was, is a war crime.

7. With all the really serious issues in the world today, would it be too much for
the candidates to just concentrate on the ISSUES, and not try to make cute jokes? I'm not directing this at Hillary at all, but I've heard several cute remarks from candidates on both sides of the fence, and I just feel like with our troops dying, a war killing us financially here at home, a lying pResident, a crooked VP, a dumb@ss Secretary of State, an AG who interprets the law to fit his boss' needs, we really don't need cute right now.

We need facts. We need action. We need honesty.

It would be really nice if all the candidates could just focus on the issues, and save the cuteness for some other time. There's a lot of things going on that need attention right now.

women have dealt with evil or bad men, during their lifetime

18. I saw Maureen Dowd earlier. She repeatedly asked this woman
who Hillary was talking about and the woman firmly repeated that she was just saying the man's question, that she didn't indicate there was any single man or men that Hillary was speaking about.

Did you hear after Hillary spoke and someone was asking her about who she was talking about. She said people keep telling her to lighten up. So the minute she says something funny, once again people are all over her about it. There's nothing wrong with a little humor.

Al Gore wasn't funny at all during his presidential race. He could have fared better if his natural sense of humor came out a bit. Seriousness is appropriate during these races, but a bit of humor can really help ease the tensions from time to time.

20. Everybody laughed, she laughed, and it came off funny.
I admit, I immediately thought of Big Dawg, but only in the sense that wives are allowed a little dig at husbands, especially with their past. I don't think it hurt her a bit, but it will if she tries to explain and explain. Just drop it IMO.

21. This is just practice...wait until later...
I'm still pissed that Mrs. Clinton used Kerry's so-called "botched joke" for political gain...but bygones..

This is nothing compared to what's ahead. Any and every Democratic candidate that gets within contention will be character assassinated and swiftboated...it's a given. It's also pretty much of an assumption that the Republicans will get a free pass, just like Bush gets on a daily basis.

Who can stand to be stared at 24/7 and NOT cough up something that could be taken out of context at some point.
