For the first time, I feel that Bush is going to get reelected now. :(

Too bad Clark couldn't get his message out more. Cut off at the pass you might say.

4. Put your fear and frustration to good use.
Sit down and write a letter to Kerry encouraging him to choose Clark as his VP.

6. My daughters crying and I'm just plain old mad
And the media, who couldn't bother to investigate Bush's awol record are scouring the earth for the first hint that Clark will drop out. Give the man and his supporters some dignity. I don't know whether to be mad he's dropping out or glad for him to be out of the whole dirty mess. I just know I'm SICK at heart. Now I'm getting sad....

14. I hate Judy Woodruff!
She basically said Wes Jr. was bitter because Clark did not compete in Iowa. NEWSFLASH JUDY: He is pissed at people like You!!! miss "I don't know if the big donors are going to give to his campaign anymore"

She looks sooooo happy.
:grr:

9. Look, if Clark was sincere about the Dem party being his home...
and I BELIEVE HE WAS, then plan on him playing an important role in the future Democratic administration, perhaps even VP!

Don't fret. :hi:

11. I agree
I haven't been involved in politics since 1976. Wes Clark inspired me.
Unless someone else steps up, I am back to voting and focusing on my family.

12. It's over
There will be no horse and rider to crest the hill, no army to come to our rescue.

All will fall, and fall hard it will.

I don't know about the rest of you, but I'm going to see if it would be possible to get political asylum at this point in New Zealand for me and my girl.

13. I'm pissed - I live in Wisconsin!!!
Was looking forward to voting for him next week, and have been talking him up all over.

Now he's out.

I'm not voting in the Wisconsin Primary. Why bother? The DNC has made up it's mind.

16. Say
Say what you want, but Clark entered the party with Dean's positions. If you want a guy who has experience balancing budgets, and like Clark, who was the original guy touting the philosophy that we shouldn't have gone into Iraq, then Dean is the man. Remember how we talked about Dean and Clark running on the same ticket, since their positions were so close. Dean is the clear choice, as he has the most similar positions to Clark.

Kerry, man all I get from him is vague generalities. He's the most non-specific campaigner in the race, which is a typical Washington Insider quality. Sad, isn't it. We have a choice, just keep defecting to the anti-Kerry. Still there are two huge states coming March 2nd. New York, and California are within reach.

Sign on to meet ups for Dean, and DeanforAmerica.

We have had the common experience of the media trashing us, our grassroots can merge, and we can become a super hybrid. Let's do it!!

20. Thank you, General. I would have been proud to vote for you.
I'm very sad, tonight. I feel like my voice and my vote mean nothing. I know some will think I'm being overdramatic, but I have never been as politically motivated as I have been lately. I'm 28, so I've been able to vote for 10 years.

When Clinton was President, I felt secure, and I felt like I had a say. That changed in 2000. My primary isn't until March 16. It'll be over by then. I suppose I'll just sit back and let it play out.

23. Nirnaeth Arnoediad
Edited on Wed Feb-11-04 12:18 AM by knight_of_the_star
Unnumbered Tears.

"Some have said even then the Eldar might have won the day, had all their hosts proved faithful; for the Orcs wavered, and their onslaught stayed, and some were turning to flight. ... Yet neither by wolf, nor by Balrog, nor by Dragon, would have Morgoth achieved his end, but for the treachery of men."

"Of the Fifth Battle: Nirnaeth Arnoediad." The Silmarillion, page 192.

ON EDIT FOR THOSE WHO DIDN'T GET IT:

Read this, then think about what the DNC and the media did to Wes. And for clarification, the Eldar are Elves.

and i will say it again in this one, NO political loss in my life has affected me or my emotions like this one did. I honestly feel almost like someone has died.

26. sigh...
I just heard the news - went out to dinner with friends and came back to this. Gawd, it's sad.

At least I can say that Clark was a class act the whole way. He's acted with a dignity that's rare in politics these days. Even his decision to step down is classy.

28. My absentee ballot for California came today!
And I will still be voting for Clark come March 2nd. Of course, GE I'll do whatever needs to be done to beat Bush.

What shall we do now?
1. Dean can't win, and I don't think he should.
2. Edwards is a snake oil salesman.
3. Kerry is the Gray Davis of New England.

Bummer.

For certain, I WILL not watch CNN or MSNBC tomorrow, because I just can't watch the media cover their own self-fulfilling prophecy.

AAAAARRRRRGGGGGH.....
