Clark is not going away
I thought he was going to throw in towel as Gert was leading up to her introduction of him and thanking all the volunteers in the Volunteer State. But then she introduced him "the next president of the United States." The crowd went wild and the general spoke like a leader. He's staying in. :bounce:

Sorry, don't have a link but caught it on C-SPAN (channel hopping between the Westminster Dog Show and C-SPAN).

4. gee,
his speech sure did not sound like someone who planned on bowing out.
But I guess he wanted to rally the assembed who had worked so hard.
What a waste, what a loss.

6. I feel bad about Clark
I don't think having any of thses guys continue their campaigns hurts Kerry or the party. I hope Clark stays involved with the party.

9. so sad
hearing it with the enthusiasm of the crowd, buoyed me. But you're right, when you actually read the text, the message is clear: he will continue working for a better America but sadly, not as a candidate for the presidency.

I'll wait to see it posted on his website or coming from his own mouth.
