Sorry Folks: I like Dick Cheney

I say this because he is the best thing to ever happen to the Democratic Party in years. Yes the nation has endured several years of damage by this man but now he is doing serious damage to his own party.

I hope he continues to do more interviews and make more statements.

Dick Cheney once was a formidable force within the Republican Party but now he is it worse enemy.

I feel the GOP will no longer tolerate Dick Cheney and will force him out of office.

I once wanted him gone but now I want him to stay.

Seriously, if the devil offered me a bargain of going back in time and preventing the Republican wars in exchange for another 10 years of Republican control of Congress and the White House, I'd take that deal. I'm a Democrat because our side is right. If I could end the Republicans' destruction of our nation and Constitution by a better means than the democratic process, I'd go with it.

Perhaps Cheney has been good for us. The price for that benefit has been horrible.

He and Rumsfeld are as responsible (if not more) as Bush for the war in Iraq. And to make it even worse he profitted from it. That may be good in terms of increasing the liklihood of getting people to vote for Democrats but that's a teeny tiny reward compared to the damage that's been done to the world and the doubtless reverberations that will be felt for decades.

I too would gladly choose a Republican Administration for another 10 years in exchange for deleting the whole illegal invasion from ever happening.
