It seems like that Dean and Clark supporters are becoming one and are merging. If this is so I think it's cool.

3. It goes back awhile
shortly after Clark entered. It's the outsiders factor.

6. I like both Dean and Clark
but *Bush ran as an outsider. I don't see that it's always a good thing.

5. I still have some questions about Clark, but I'm part of this phenomenon..
though I've never said so at DU.

To me the turning point was watching Gert Clark at the South Carolina campaign rally. She is one feisty, smart, gutsy, and REAL woman! No way would she stick with the guy for 34 years if he were the snake I was wondering if he was.

Not just her, but the followers. Plenty of every-day white and black people who seemed genuinely glad to be there, and not like political junkies at all - kind of at right angles to the Dean following, and a terrific complement to it.

I hate to say this, but things may get uglier than just rough politics. The Bush crowd may decide to Kennedy/King/Wellstone whoever the nominee is. I suspect Clark, unlike any other candidate, has both the guts and the juice to fight and expose any such attempt along with the contacts to detect it before it happens.

I'd take him over Kerry or Edwards any time.
