9. You Asked for It
That and the Dean Martin Roasts are the only things he's done in the past 50 years. Well, there was that HBO "Battle of Late Night" show, but that's it.

Edgy!

11. I was a young kid at the height of his fame
and even then I thought he was incredibly unfunny and did a poor job of imitating Nixon - who wasn';t that friggin' hard to imitate.

Amazing they would trot him out. Well, actually this crew? Not so amazing after all...

13. I used to love Rich Little
And taught myself to do various impersonations because of him (it was fun being in 4th grade and freaking out the teacher by answering a question in the voice of Richard Nixon), but wow... He hasn't been heard from for some time.

He did some half hour to hour specials on HBO in the very early 80s (when we first got cable) where he played all the characters from, "A Christmas Carol," (W.C. Fields was Scrooge) to "Robin Hood," (Groucho Marx) that were very good for the day.

17. Hi HawkeyeX! Gallagher once said at the Kennedy center the following,
During RR's time in office.

"Hasnt anyone noticed that Ronald Reagan had the same king of growth removed from his nose that he had in his rectum.

Probably from having his head up his ass so much".

The DC crowd was split on the reaction, I laughed and clapped with great vigor.

I am surprised Gallagher "sledge-A-matic" is a puke but nothing surprises me anymore.

Maybe he should get together with Ted Nugent!

Good to see you on the board my friend. :hi:

24. Your Kidding? 2 Gallaghers? I must have seen the older wiser G
Really, Looks like I got some googeling to do. Live and learn I guess.

I didnt mean to insinuate that because he told an off color joke about Reagan that he might not be a repukelikin.

the Gallagher I saw was back in the Mid 80's.

Thanks for the info! :hi:

How would you close the lid of the coffin on a man that overdosed on viagra? That gave me some out loud giggles. He could be pretty funny...especially if he did plenty of impersonations of 41 and 43.

29. I told my daughter and she said "Little Richard???!"
Guess she's too young to have seen his act.

I saw Rich Little in person in 1986 and I was surprised he was still working because I had not seen him on television for years prior to that.

31. prediction: he uses this old Carson "political" joke
Johnny: "It was so cold outside..."

Audience: "How cold was it?"

Johnny: "It was so cold, the politicians had their hands in their own pockets."

on Carson, kind of funny; biting political humor? ... not so much ...

this is the kind of ho-hum mediocrity you can expect ...
