Connecticut voters, you have been punked, big time.
George Bush:

Acting on the good advice of Senator Joe Lieberman and other key members of Congress, we will form a new, bipartisan working group that will help us come together across party lines to win the war on terror. This group will meet regularly with me and my Administration, and it will help strengthen our relationship with Congress.

You really were chumps, sorry..

1. That little mention in Bush's speech could be the death knell for good ol' Joe's
"independent" presidential aspirations. :)

5. I don't remember ever noticing a Connecticut voter here on DU.
Maybe they all fell on their swords. But I do think if Connecticut ever wants to secede from the Union, we should allow them to.

Just jesting all you Connecticuteies.

6. Why punked?....They got exactly what they voted for..
It's not as though Lieberman hid his hawkish views prior to the election.

A bunch of repukes, and a bunch of dems in Connecticut voted for the asshole, knowing full well that he fully supports the occupation and slaughter in Iraq.
