Durbin's response....he lost me when he started on with that
business about the Iraqis having to know they have to stand up for themselves, blah blah blah....

I'm under the impression that the Iraqis want us out.

Maliki the puppet may want us there, but Iraqis want us out.

This muddying of the situation leaves me cold.

Why aren't they grateful?

3. Give him a bit of a break, its called being a politician
Something we have not seen much of in the last 6 years. I took it all to mean, step up, the well is dry.

4. He was repeating Bush's line practically verbatim...
as if it is the Iraqi's fault we went in there uninvited.

Poor framing, at the very least, to use Bush's words...

6. Utter disappointment
We've given them so much? Yea, we've killed the innocent and left them without a country.

I just watched "Ground Truth," so I'm in no mood for this BS.

7. Durbin is a good guy and is also playing it close to the chest.
Durbin is a really good guy. He is not some bushbot. He voted against the war. however, I believe these guys have to keep things in a certain tempo because they are working behind the scenes to get Bush. They are not going to go on the air and spill the beans. They are trying to find some way to stop him.
They have to give a response. durbin is the majoirty whip and it's his job.
He is my senator and I can tell you he is a totally good guy. don't sell him short.
No one thinks that most of what goes on is behind the scenes and is alot of backroom workings.

11. \I know he is a good guy, but this sounds more like all the other
times they were "keeping their powder dry." It's time to blow this crap wide open. If we don't here the truth yelled out LOUDLY, you can bet Bushco will turn this around.

The F*cker is already building up toward Iran...I'm waiting for the chorus of Democrats repeating his talking points on that....

10. I know...the old 'blame the Iraqis' crap. Makes me want to smack them
when they start on that. We launch an illegal invasion, destroy their country and they start to trash them because they are reeling and can't get it together. What an ass.

12. Oh, so right! I join you in this.
We've got to stop saying this. My only beef with Pelosi is that she has said this. Let's get off it, already!

I am very depressed about Iraq tonight...
