A sampling of wingnut Freeper posts after Shrub's speech...
Edited on Thu Jan-11-07 12:02 AM by RiverStone
STARWISE's thread at Free Republic:

"The LEADING EDGE of our troop surge is already to Baghdad. God bless and protect our troops and our Commander in Chief!"

"Go after all the hot spots in Iraq, starting with Sadr city and bomb the cr@^ out of each province until the opposition is wiped out. NO mercy. We should have had this attitude all the way through...don't hamstring the military, just let them clean house. If Iraq president doesn't like it, call a press conference and announce that we are facing opposition from the people we're trying to help and give him a choice: support our efforts to help you or we're out and we're not leaving anything behind!"

"Totally agree. He needs to bypass those who disagree with him and use his bully pulpit. One valuable lesson taught to us by President Reagan."

"Even if all of those troops were killed (God forbid!!), there would still be 10,000 fewer American deaths in Iraq in 4 years, than in there were in Korea in 4 years."

2. Wow. "We had to destroy Iraq in order to save it."
These Eye-Rackies is sech barbarians they don't even appreciate it when we come in to slaughter them humanely and save their black Allah-worshiping souls from eternal damnation.

I wonder why none of them are posting from Iraq? You know, showing how to wipe out the opposition and stuff?

5. It's sad that those nutcases have access to computers
They are showing the world how twisted and phucked up they are. They sure know how to drag America's reputation through the mud....Oh wait....what reputation? Bu$h and his bastard followers have already destroyed it....YEARS ago. :argh:

7. Nothing like some good old heartland...
Blood lust. These people have no idea of war, it's all Rambo and Commando to them. It's the Govenator busting through a plate glass window to mow down the room full of Jihadists. In reality it's an 18 year old from Kentucky with his leg blown off and k=his blood pooling in the street. Dead children, mothers and mothers sons.

11. Yes! Sad the lines blur for them between Hollywood....
...shoot em ups, and the real horror of war. Gawd, these folks supporting escalation see it as an X-box battle.

Is it down right ignorance, stupidity, or blood lust? Guess they should ask Shrub.

8. my question is, WHY aren't all the members of the 101st keyboard brigade on their way over to iraq
RIGHT NOW? surely they know how to download the enlistment forms--they are so confident that the mission is correct--WHY aren't they over there?

if I had the stomach for having that dreck on my computer, I would be asking the same of each and every one of them.

10. They're so simple-minded
They don't understand the first thing about Iraqi politics. It's ridiculous. It's not so simple as "opposition" and "non-opposition."

13. They don't understand the world in general.
These dumbasses think it's all one big video game. They know little about anything outside the U.S. let alone their own state or county. This is why I am all for raising social studies and geography standards in our schools so people can know about some of these places. It's embarrassing and it's sad.

17. Tell them it is a video game but only available in Iraq
Some might be dumb enough to buy it. Make sure to tell them they get bonus points, get to use top of the line military software not available to civilians, plenty of virgins waiting for them when they redeem their points.

12. The first quote reminds me of what people said of these men.
Cult of Personalities can be such an ugly thing especially for a country that prides itself as the land of the free.

It's very freightening to think people actually worship Bush! They really do!
