Do you believe him?
While soldiers and Iraqis die, the blivet has remained mum on what actions he plans on authorizing to prolong the war. Other than voicing his disdain for the ISG report, he hasn't piped up since before the report was released.
As late as today we are being told he hasn't made up his mind and welcomes input from Congress on what to do about Iraq.
This is a leader? Why have weeks passed with no action while blood is being spilled? Does anyone really believe dimson doesn't have a clue? Could he really NOT have a clue? That's almost scarier than considering he's just holding his cards close to his vest until he gets his 'new' staff figured out.

1. He has nothing to talk about, not even for his State of the Union coming up later
He's got his people scurrying around looking to make some kind of news for him to talk about, but they're coming up empty. They're trying to make stories where there are none. Look at this latest bullshit how they're starting a new campaign in Baghdad to go after the militant insurgents and weed them out. Well isn't this what they've been supposedly doing for 3 years? They've got nothing new to offer.

4. If he DID have a plan, which he doesn't, it would be in place by now.
He's stalling because he has no clue what to do.

5. He's decided what he is going to do. Everything else is just going
through the motions to make it look like he's being "bipartisan". It's all theater.

The part that is scary to me is to hear Tony Snow insist at press briefings that Bush knows more than anyone about the details. That he has all the information at his fingertips and no one else really has all the information. If that's true, then why are we sitting around waiting to hear about his new plan? Why haven't these changes been ongoing? It's obvious to me that there has never been a Plan A, much less a Plan B, and now the administration is scrambling, with blinders on and hands tied, trying to figure out what to do.

This will become an even bigger disaster than it has already become and in two years, Bush will waltz out of office, dust off his hands and declare himself the best President ever, leaving the next occupant of the WH to clean up the mess.
