Just heard a McCain clip challenging dems... "what would be the plan be -
if the country (Iraq) fell into chaos?"

Er - Senator - "if it falls into chaos?" What is it now?

Then there is Lieberman bleating on about what is needed is "Courageous Leadership"... er Senator - is running around the primary season, creating a party in your own name all in order to avoid courageously accepting defeat...that is courageous?

All of the political opportunism the two of you are staking in this - will not make the policy, nor your words, any less delusional nor any more successful.

Pssst yourboybush is already downsizing the size of the "surge" - far below what you two are calling for - will you have the courage to call out the president - more troops or no more troops? (Of course not) or will you find new opportunistic rhetoric to try to justify a small bump rather than a surge?

Idiots.

Edited on Sat Jan-06-07 09:13 AM by tenaciousradical
things can get a little chaotic when your spreading democracy at the end of gun barrel. It is hard work after all. Some people just don't get it..

2. It's becoming downright surreal..
... the lame ass arguments the Repubs now have for why we must stay in Iraq.

"The cost to US security would be catastrophic".

What these deluded liars have done is drive a car off of the cliff and in mid-air demand that Dems come up with a soft-landing plan.

No matter how catastrophic, the car WILL hit the ground. And blaming others for not being able to stop it is pathetic, Dems did not drive the car off the cliff to begin with.

13. Although some Dems helped push that car off the cliff,
your analogy is still a good one.

3. McCain is full of shit playing Republican games...but
He is right in one sense....

Things are bad there now...but it is going to be a bloody massacre exponentially worse than it is now, unless the plan for withdrawl is very carefully planned...

Something I think George Bush is incapable of....

However, if we are still in Iraq in 2009 when we get the White House back...whoever is in there had been plan our withdrawl very carefully...or he/she will be on the hook for it...

5. no question that it is a complicated mess to extricate from,
not only is bush incapable of the task - he is so stubborn, is deluded (that "his way" will "win".... if we do it one more time - just only in a way that proves I was righ all along) and completely unwilling to look at different complicated paths.

7. The plan is....
to bring the troops home now before another 1000 or 2000 or 3000 die because of a lie..and to turn Iraq over to Iraq. Even so, what does he think should happen and it is not the responsibility of the dems to come up with a plan anyway, it is for bush to do...he is the decider, after all.

9. I have been mightily distressed of late.
I fear that Bush has so thoroughly screwed the pooch in central asia that I truly see no good option past getting the hell out and letting the chips fall where they may. If a reasonable, thinking human being had done what this boy-child has done, they would be on suicide watch.

At least there are still plum, buttered popcorn, and banana flavored jelly bellies. :)

11. they have finally gotten to the point - where there actions are not
predictable - very instable (unbalanced? delusional? cracked?)

I could probably live without the licorice and buttered popcorn jellybellies ;-)

14. McLame has chosen to sabatoge his own run for the Pres.
Good! Can Rudy G. get the nod? Nope. I think that Hagel will step up and get the nod. He won't be so easy to defeat.
