Has Bush Done Anything RIGHT?
I suddenly had a thought today: has Bush done anything correctly? Anything at all?

Even a stopped clock is right twice a day - but, offhand, I can't think of anything that Bush hasn't fucked up.

1. Ironic you should ask.
Today, I ran across my "Do Not Call" form on telemarketing calls. Stopping those is the only thing I can think of.

7. Well, that is the standard answer to the question......However...
I'm supposed to be on that list, but haven't noticed any decrease in annoying calls from telemarketers..

13. that had already been done voluntarily
I've been on no call list since the early 90's
can't count that

But he did get weapons inspectors back in Iraq but then he told them to leave.

He has proved that Reaganomics and the republican philosophies as seen today are a failure:
borrow and spend
top down tax cuts
unregulated capitalism
all children left behind
removal of safety net for poor
you name it we have more evidence than ever before that they can't make it work

2. My mind draws a blank.
Just like his mind draws a blank any time he opens his mouth.

I honestly can't think of anything.

I'm sure he's done a few things right. But every President has a list of things they do right, he's still the worst President in the history of this nation.

I can't remember anymore what they were. But 2 things...obviously, that's not saying much.

9. He destroyed the Republican Party
He's had help, but Chimpy is the embodiment of the absolute moral and intellectual bankruptcy of the Rethugs. If the Dems do things even half-right these next two years, the GOP is going to be out in the cold for a loooong time.

28. You assume they will leave voluntarily in two years
We are one signing statement away from having a president for life. Bush does not play by the rules. He may not run his course for two more years and quietly retire. He may try to shove his unpopularity back in our faces just to show us who he thinks is boss.

So even if the Democrats do everything right (which I think they will make a sincere attempt to do), he may simply invalidate everything regardless of what anyone thinks. He's not going to do the decent thing unless he is forced to do so. All of the pressure he has experienced to date would have affected any normal human being. The boy's not right in the head and I think there is a distinct probability that he is not planning to gracefully go away in 2008. That would leave the rest of the country out in the cold for a looong time.

10. Not really, no.
Unless you count the marginal success of the "Do Not Call" list, there's not a single thing Bush has done that is both 1) positive, 2) actually happened, and 3) that he didn't fuck up.

12. He Survived And Became pResident
despite being being a complete failure in all other aspectsof his life. Got hand that to him and the idiots that helped him in the last endeavor. Of course, I am quite sure, that the reason he was chosen forthe last endeavor was because of his idiocy and not despite it.

The Silverspoon Simian is incapable of it. Just like his governorshit and just like his business ventures.

Unfortunately, just like both, he gets bailed out . . . every. single. time.

It pains me to see that this asshole will NEVER get his come-uppance. The only thing I can hope for is that historians are as smart as we are and recognize that his presidency has been totally void of success.

Bewsh has not done ONE THING RIGHT for the middle classes and poor of this country.

Just POSSIBLY, he has made people (besides the sub-retarded 30 percenters, that is) realize the Republican party is bad news for their needs.

Yet that's an indirect accomplishment. For something coming out of his actions . . . well, no.

Instead, he took the nation to Iraq, and even diverted funds appropriated for Afghanistan to prepare for Iraq.
