1. Congrats!
We needed this badly here in Virginia if Clark is to stand a chance in hell. I was so moved by him at the rally on Saturday and I wish him all the very best. He's truly a man of his word and cares deeply about this country - of that there is no doubt in my mind.

Good luck!

2. Did you call anybody???
You still can! Now is more important than ever. Calling people right before they go, is when they are most desperate to decide. People go with what was the last good impression in their mind! Gonna go back for 20 more! I better see some good amount of call made by you guys in what state, when I get back! :P
Off ti Virginia for 20 more! :kick:

3. Well, I've been making calls
The people I am speaking to in TN are generally nice. Often I get machines. I think I have solidified some Clark supporters today, and helped push them to the polls. Other days I have won some folks over. I am being very gently with my TN calls today, lots of people have already gotten lots of phone calls. I acknowledge that they probably are getting swamped by people wanting them to talk about candidates, there is probably no way on Earth that they could forget today is election day, and I thank them for their patience with us, but that I am only taking a day off to call strangers because it is so important and I really believe Wesley Clark will make a great President.

It think the soft peddle is a good strategy in TN, where so many calls have already been done. I don't seem to be annoying people as long as I am respectful if they tell me they don't have time to talk about it again. Maybe it is different in Virginia.

6. About 30
Forgot to note my starting count. I do try to give people a sense of quality time. Can't sound TOO much like a fast talking pushy New Yorker when I am calling in the South lol.

8. Tried to find out via Google, here's what I could find
In 2002 the TN primary closed at 7:00 Central Time Zone. I bet it is the same this year but don't know for sure. Virginia in 2002 closed at 6:00 pm EST. I wonder if that is the same this year with a contested Primary. If so, better make our Clark calls to TN quickly in case Kerry does well in Virginia (which I hope he doesn't of course) so people won't be influenced by those returns.

10. Best call yet!
**************Voter didn't realize this was election day.*******************

You can still make a difference.

Whole family is Veterans, and they're sick of the crappy benefits and treatment they get. We talked for 20 minutes. I read her Wes's statement on Veterans. She wants CHANGE in Washington.

She's going to round up friends and neighbors and go the the firehouse to vote when she picks her kids up from school. They'll be voting Clark!

13. I just got off the phone with a woman who didn't know it was Election Day
We had a nice talk. She seemed impressed with the General but didn't know if she could get to the polls (she needed a ride). She lives in Nashville so I called our office there and they will call her and try to arrange it for her. It's not over yet!
