Quick! Off to the polls in TN, help!
Would a vote for Dean here in Tennessee really count, or should I vote Edwards?

1. Vote for Dean!
I swear, if I keep seeing Dean supporters vote for someone other than him I'm going to vote for Bush in November! Stop abandoning Dean! He's in second place with delegates and he NEEDS your support!

2. Dean or Clark
If Edwards wins TN, Dean's more likely to be pushed out of the race.

3. Please vote for who you really want to - the person you think would be
the best. The rest of us are having our choices taken away b/c our votes come so late.

4. I am biased but
In Tennessee a vote for Clark makes sense. He has strength there and I think will run stronger than Edwards there today. PLUS please do me a favor and look at what I wrote for this thread:

Before you decide, please? Thanks.

5. Vote Edwards
Just my opinion. It's what I did here and I have not regretted my vote. Vote your heart is the best thing.

7. I don't fully understand
Edited on Tue Feb-10-04 10:39 AM by Dufaeth
the delegate point system. I guess what I want to know is if a vote for Dean would actually help him?
Overall I lean towards Dean but am mostly undecided except I know that I don't want Kerry.

9. Well you only have one vote. It can be argued two ways.
Your one vote will only count toward the division of delegates if the person you vote for gets 15% of the vote in your primary, so from one perspective you might say voting for someone who seems highly unlikely to hit that threshold is "wasting" your vote. If opposition to the front runner divides up into small below the threshold pools, the front runner makes out like a bandit.

However, on the other hand, it can make a big psychological difference for a candidate to hit 10% rather than get stuck in single digits. So a vote that brought that about, while not helping with the delegate count and perhaps even hurting, serves a different purpose. Not to mention that some people simply feel best about voting for who they actually want, all strategic considerations aside.

8. Why are you asking us?
Vote with your knowledge of the candidates, how their views hold up to yours and who you feel would be the best person to lead this country.

Now get out there! Go vote! Vote now! Why are you still reading this post when you should be voting?

14. It's a primary
You're supposed to vote for the one you REALLY want. If you really want Dean, vote Dean. Otherwise vote for someone else.

15. Any vote for Dean anywhere will always help.
Especially in Gore country.

If you care, and you want to take your country back and restore it to sanity and dignity, vote for Dean.

25. Edwards. A vote for anyone else is a vote to end the primaries without
debating the issues (especially, middle class opportunity).
