5. I don't know that I would characterize it that way...

It's a good website, that helps to show that the ACLU is not, by it's nature, anti-Christian. IMHO, characterizing them as "pro-Christian" would be like characterizing them as "pro-convicted murderer" for their work on the death penalty. The ACLU is pro-civil rights, and does not discriminate against anyone whose rights are being violated, regardless of that individual or group's other qualities or agendas.

any more than it is "pro nazism","pro judaism", or pro anything else. if one`s civil rights are violated then they will go to court to protect them. i find the use of the "pro christian" in this context offensive

She was going on and on about how the ACLU wastes our money defending freaks. To which I responded, "yeah, like Christians." Then I mentioned this story and a couple others and she shut up. http://www.aclu.org/studentsrights/expression/12845prs20040511.
