Hillary beats McCain and Giuliani nationally and hasn't stepped foot in Iowa in years
Things will change once Hillary starts campaigning and pumps her millions and she brings out the attack dogs to bring down Obama and Edwards. The 4th place poll actually is probably good news for her in a way as it lowers expectations for her in Iowa and takes some of the pressure off her being the national frontrunner.

1. Are you really a supporter?
You think you're going to win grassroots people over with Hillary pumping her millions and bringing out her attack dogs? That's the key thing I hate about her. Iowa will too.

3. Wasn't Gephardt the Iowa attack dog in '04?
We see where that got him. You make a good point.

5. I'm not trying to win support for Hillary
I'm just telling it like it is. Whoever the democrats nominate, i'll vote for. But I would prefer someone with a lot of experience.

6. Hillary's experience includes voting for IWR and PATRIOT
and unlike Kerry and Edwards, she is still unrepentant about her war vote.

That's the sort of experience the Beltway is teeming with, and look where it got us!

8. If they're in a primary together, they'll do plenty of siccing themselves.
It's going to be fun to watch the Big Dogs of the GOP hacking away at each other.

Just remember that. The election of 2008 is already a hot topic, but it's too early to call it for Hillary Rodham Clinton. And I think a lot of Democrats have questions about Mrs. Clinton they'd like answered, and issues they'd like brought up.

We've got a long road ahead. Polls are fun, and tell us where we are at this point and time. But right now, they mean VERY little when you consider the final results.

7. Here's what I see in any of these poll numbers:
We can beat any of their heavy hitters. Any of them.

The midterms have helped us immeasurably. We are now the winners; we go into '08 with a home field advantage we didn't enjoy in '04.

I would be fascinated to see Edwards' numbers. Oh wait, he's not a major contender... not like a Mitt Romney, who can't even manage a third of the vote in either of these polls.

13. Attack dogs
The quickets way in the universe to see Hillary drop into signle digits would be to go negative on two guys who've built their public persona on progressive optimism and sunshine.

18. Ah c'mon... for all we know neither Hillary or Barack may even run..
Here's what I can't deal with as far as Hillary.

America cannot stand to go close to THREE DECADES with the same two families !!!! We need a new face ----- fresh blood --- someone BESIDES a Bush or a Clinton!

By the time Shrub finishes this second term.. we are at years of Bush and Clintons!

Bush <4> + Clinton <8> + Bush <8> = 20 years!

I don't give a crap what the media says... it's not between anybody and anybody ---- YET.

21. Wow! Got your Magic 8-Ball out?
Because, seems to me, that the front runner in the Democratic primary this early on NEVER gets the nomination.

I seem to recall that Lieberman led the pack in late 2002. That worked out well, didn't it?

19. I don't see any validity in this poll
Are these people likely voters?

Registered voters?

It's too early, we don't know the candidate field on either side, & I don't know anyone who likes Hillary.

Maybe she has fans at DU, but not in real life.

22. I keep wondering who these 30-some-odd percent of the people
are in the polls the corporate media pushes. I don't know 30 people who support her, much less 30 percent of any given population of any determined size.
