Ga. Elections chief goes to work for..... Diebold.
Edited on Fri Dec-22-06 09:10 PM by MGKrebs

It's true.

The former head of elections for Georgia is going to work for the company that supplied the state's $75 million electronic voting machine system.

Kathy Rogers, director of the secretary of state's elections division, resigned Nov. 30 and has accepted a job with Diebold Election Systems, manufacturer of Georgia's voting machines, according to several state officials. Rogers apparently will serve as a liaison between elections officials throughout the United States and Diebold.

1. There needs to be an investigation of that company.
What the f*ck kind of deal do we have here?

The freaking government is a solely-owned corporate subsidiary.

4. Kathy Diebold II
Two months prior to leaving office Cathy Cox, Georgia's outgoing Secretary of State and the subject of much controversy, felt compelled to stop an effort to perform a citizen audit of the state's primary and run-off elections of July and August 2006.
<snip>
Cox and her staff contend that release of the files would constitute a "threat to public security or property if released". One of her staff members, Kathy Rogers, felt it necessary to send an email to county election supervisors equating release of the data to "criminal or terrorist acts" after Georgia citizens requested it in 2004.
