Kucinich mentioned as much as Hillary last month, but way behind Obama
From Sam Smith's site:

We typically scan more than 1,000 headlines a day. Since polls are a way the media finds out how well we have learned what it has taught us, we thought it would be interesting to poll the headlnes to get a head start. Here, from major media, are the percent of headlines we scanned this month mentioning each Democratic presidential candidate

OBAMA 42%
CLINTON 20%
KUCINICH 20%
KERRY 11%
GORE 03%
EDWARDS 03%

I can recall the MSM really touting the hell out of Dean, too. Treating him just like Obama in fact, fawning all over him, giving him far more total and favorable press than his career warranted, etc. And then they pulled the plug on him.

It's a pity Sam didn't mention what kind of press DK is getting. I bet it's all negative though. Can't let anyone have a chance who doesn't kiss up the wealthy elites.

1. The mentions of Kucinich were largely because he announced that he was running.
I suspect that when Hillary officially announces that she's running, her mentions in the press will dwarf those of Kucinich.

I bet it's all negative though.

No, it was mainly of the "Kucinich is running for president" variety. Pretty standard.

2. Obama seems to be flavor
of the month right now. He is black & little is known about him except for his famous speech. Hilary has been running for president ever since she won the senate the first time. Most in the media do not see Kucinich as having a chance, but because he has announced he is running they will give some press.

3. Wonder why Vilsack isn't on that list
He seemed to be in the media quite a bit for a couple of days, even if only because he was the first dem to announce.
