Congressional Democrats must speak out now and say they will not fund additional troops in Iraq
We have seen too many people die, we have seen too many people maimed and wounded, we have seen too many homes destroyed, we have heard too many lies, and we have seen too much money wasted on a stupid unwinnable war.

It is time to say enough.

Iraq is already enough of a mess, sending more troops in will only make matters worse. We will see twenty to thirty thousand more Americans unwillingly sent off to die, while the pundits who cheer the increase in troop levels refuse to enlist themselves.

We do not have to accept this. We control Congress, and sending tens of thousands of more troops to Iraq is going to cost a lot of money. We control the purse, and we need to make it clear to George Bush that he will not get funding for his plans to kill more people.

I want every Democratic leader in Congress to stand up now and say they will not fund an increase in troop levels. The American people do not support such a move, and they elected Democrats in part because they wanted to prevent such a move.

We can not wait to speak out, if we do the pundits will only get more opportunities to endorse Bush's plan without acknowledging any potential difficulties. We need our leaders up front at this moment declaring that the only funding we will continue to provide for this war is the funding that it takes to bring our troops home.

It is time to tell America we will not allow Bush to abuse his role as "Commander-in-Chief" anymore.

2. Someone in this party needs to stand up
Saying we won't fund MORE troops is not nearly enough. We have to get every last one of our troops out of that fucking hellhole NOW. Who in this party has the balls to stand up and do the right thing?
