Clark supporters: Send Clark bars to the media

This idea was posted on the Clark blog:

Don't just E-mail the media if you are mad! Send them Clark bars!

SEND THESE PEOPLE A CLARK BAR...FROM YOUR COMPUTER!

If hundreds of Clark bars arrive at the door of TARGETED journalists they WILL pay attention.

Go to http://www.candycrate.com/

Send a single Clark bar to these journalists with a message. $5.69. OR buy your own and use Priority Mail or some other courier.

Keith Obermann, MSNBC. He hosts a quirky yet issue-oriented news show called "Countdown". It is often hilarious - he runs oddball stories the lower half of the hour, but is very strong on real news - and he'd be a great target for getting the media to rethink their coverage on Clark.

Aaron Brown because he's seen as a solid news anchor (no puff pieces) - he had the top ratings for CNN during the conflict in Iraq. Thank him for putting Wes on the air in a terrific interview! Encourage him to cover the press blackout!

NPR - yes, NPR. Why? Because we want some of the diehard Deanies to rethink our candidate - and it targets a lot of educated listeners.

This one could be really important - The Poynter Institute is a non-profit focusing on journalism and improving journo skills and objectivity, among other things. Al Tompkins writes a weekly column with STORY IDEAS for journalists, suggesting how they can float them into local and regional news.

2. I wouldn't send the media my spit in a cup!
Screw em!

They aren't going to change. I refuse to pander to them.
It's what they want.
I realize people want to find ways to change what's going on but the media doesn't deserve it.

Whenever I see that quote in a sig, I reflexively wince because I know I'm about to read "Ghandi". Maybe all y'all copied it off the same website.

3. The media's hopeless. But if this tactic does catch on, I'd damn
well eat the candy bar and just send the wrapper.

They're pretty decent. Like butterfingers but better.
Betterfingers!
