It was said by a pundit that no other democrat in history of going to NH ever attracted that many people. http://apnews.myway.com/article/20061211/D8LUHF682.html

1. Bill Clinton as president attracted 20,000 in a crowd in 1996 in NH.

3. I think they mean
For a paid event that wasn't connected to an actual Presidential campaign.

5. this wasn't a PAID event the other event later on was paid it was...
25 dollars and was considered a fund raiser. you don't turn people away from a PAID event. it was free that's why people had to be turned away. it seems some DU'ers have a problem with Mr. Obama settle down folks he isn't running yet anyway.

6. Excuse me
But, YES, you do have to turn people away from paid events if you're going to violate fire codes. Regardless, paid or otherwise, the event wasn't intended to draw 20,000 people because it wasn't during a Presidential campaign. I don't have a problem with Obama, I like him quite well. I would love to see him as President and I don't know if it's better for him to run now or later. A good case can be made for either.

4. You misunderstood what the pundit was saying they said as a POSSIBLE CANIDATE..
no democrat ever drew that many in a crowd. not as a PRESIDENT as Clinton was. heck Bush as President could draw 20,000 people thats the advantage of being a President. not as a canidate

2. Then the pundit would be wrong.
It happened to Bill Clinton, it happened to Wesley Clark during his campaigning in New Hampshire. It happened to Dean. It's happened a lot.

Maybe the pundit is new to New Hampshire?
