Jack Kingston conservative idiot or lazy f**kin' worthless conservative idiot
Edited on Thu Dec-07-06 06:39 PM by rpannier
Ladies and gents my choice for conservative idiot of the week, House member Jack Kingston of Georgia.

Poor jackie is a victim of the new rules for work in the House. Yeah work that four letter word to republikkans. You know the ones who tell us that "Welfare queens are feeding off the system while not doing any work to earn it."

Here's poor jackies tale:
It seems the evil Rep. Steny H. Hoyer of Maryland is going to insist that congress work a FULL FIVE DAYS A WEEK. :scared: As opposed to the three day a week schedule under the republikkan leadership --Oh those republikkans and their Protestant work ethic. Slaving away to pass bills from Tuesday afternoon until Thursday afternoon.

I can't for the life of me figure out where that phrase "Do nothing Congress" comes from. :eyes:

Any way here's jackies heroic and heartfelt comment on his unhappiness with the whole situation,
"Keeping us up here eats away at families. Marriages suffer. The Democrats could care less about families -- that's what this says." :nopity:

Yes there you have it ladies and gents -- The Democratic Party hates families!

I mean...we all get to go to work on Tuesdays and leave on Thursdays. We all make $100,000+ a year working one job (and by working I mean three days a week and we work about 103 days a year). We get free health care. We all get cushy pensions. And we all get automatic pay raises. :evilfrown:

The soldiers in Iraq and Afghanistan...do they have to work five days a week?!!!
No!!!
Okay...so they work 7. But it still isn't five days.
They don't get to see their families either. So...it's almost like being poor jackie. :wtf:

Why are poor Congressmen like Jack Kingston made to suffer so?

I mean, he just wants to visit with his lobbyists...er...family. Just like every other American.

Poor...poor jackie kingston of georgia. Forced to run for Congress against his will. Now, forced to toil a way 5 days a week in a job that only pays a meager 145,000 a year (minimum) with full free health care. :nuke: :grr:

If you have the time, maybe you could call or write congressman kingston to let him know how much you sympathize with his plight and stand in solidarity with him and the oppressed republikkans on Capitol Hill-- I have.

2. Here's your answer

Kingston was one of the boy geniuses who tried to make Foley the victim of those nasty old Democrats. even though he knew full damned well that no Democrat had been informed of any of it.

I sincerely wish his constituents had been smart enough to give him a permanent vacation. I feel sure he'll whine nonstop about all the overwork of a five day week and eventually just fade out of the picture completely.

7. was just reading National Geographic at the doc's today
And was stunned to read that the *annual* cost of Aids drugs for Africans is $650, but the cost for American citizens is between $10,000 to $15,000!!!???!!!

While I do not begrudge the African people their meds -- WTF are WE getting hit with such HUGE differences in drug costs?

And then we have these whiny crybaby Congresscritters who have to suffer a 5 day work week? I swear there are times I want a rifle and a target. :sarcasm:

8. Congress should be working 24/7 until they solve the Iraq problem . . .
the economic problem(s), the environmental problem(s), the healthcare problem, the voting problem, the agricultural problem, and a few hundred other critical problems facing the nation . . .

or at least make some progress in a positive direction . . .

on at least one of them . . .

is that too much to ask? . . . it is, after all, what they were elected to do! . . .

9. Apparently, poor wittle Jacky has been getting hammered on this
and has offered up this little gem in today's Atlanta Journal-Constitution (note that they gave him equal time 'cause he was getting slammed by everyone):

EQUAL TIME

A lawmaker's work is never done

By JACK KINGSTON

Published on: 12/08/06

The question isn't, "Should members of Congress work five days a week?" We do. In fact, for most of us, it's a 60-hour, six-day workweek. The question is where should their time be spent — in Washington or back home? In this day of de-centralized information, cell phones, Internet and Blackberry services, Congress, like all jobs, can and should be more mobile.

Serving in Congress is actually a two-part job. The first, and more visible of the two, is legislative and D.C.-based. It involves voting for legislation, debate, committee and caucus work, etc. — the stuff you see on C-SPAN. But the other major part of the job, which often goes unnoticed, is back home in the district — listening and learning.

For example, last year I hosted 25 town hall meetings regarding Medicare Part D. The year before that, I held 17 town hall meetings on Social Security. In addition, I made over 200 speeches and meetings with veteran groups, farmers, energy, tax, health care, education and environmental groups. And I met with many individuals who had problems with the federal government — people who don't have business cards and don't know doctors and lawyers personally. These are the people who don't have the lobbyists, the time, or the budgets that would allow them to come to Washington and meet with me.

10. LOL- his proposal was only three and a half days/week
Tuesday through Friday afternoon. And still that was too much for Kingston. His wife is probably glad to have him out of the house three days a week.
