Polka, Bowling and Kielbasa
Polka, Bowling and Kielbasa is probably not really a topic for GD 2004, but it is at Kucinich's House website, so I guess the forum rules mandate it be here.

Anyways, I just wanted to share. :) I especially love the picture of DK explaining "civilization" at the top of the page!

4. It should be used in campaign literature
in the German/Wendish/Czech/Slav communities here in Texas. It won't be what they expect in a vegan!

8. My daughter's a vegan and says Cleveland has

great vegan food. I think there are stores catering to vegans as well as one or more vegan restaurants or vegetarian restaurants with vegan selections. She loves playing shows there and stocking up on food. I can't wait for the Kucinich campaign's vegan cookbook to come out.

2. Funny that there is no mention of his veganism on his House website
I guess that stuff wouldn't play well with his constituents.

3. If you read his site...

http://www.house.gov/kucinich/info/sherrills.htm

"Kucinich, a reformed steak-and-eggs man, contemplates the ascetic meal for a moment. Now a strict vegetarian, he shows no sign of being tempted by the savory smells of bacon, French toast and scrapple sizzling on a grill behind the counter."

On Edit there's more:

http://www.house.gov/kucinich/info/bio.htm

"Congressman Kucinich is one of the few vegans in Congress, a dietary decision he credits not only with improving his health, but in deepening his belief in the sacredness of all species. In the 106th Congress, his call for labeling and safety testing of all genetically engineered foods provoked a $50 million advertising campaign by the biotech industry. Kucinich hosted an international parliamentary session, attended by officials of 18 countries, on the social, economic, political and health impact of genetic food technologies. "
