Is it true? Edwards trounced Kerry in OK districts that went Bush in 2000?
Edited on Mon Feb-09-04 07:14 PM by AP
Over at the Edwards blog, somebody just posted: "NBC Nightly News just pointed out that Edwards trounced Kerry in OK in counties that Bush won last time."

I'm not sure what this means.

Just reflecting on it briefly, it makes me think that, of course Edwards would get states like NY and Cal, and the northeast and MN, and he looks like he's the best bet to take Bush on everywhere else, forcing him to spend money in places where he won in 2000.

I also heard that Edwards not only won the black by a slight margin in SC, but beat Kerry 2:1 with the white male vote.

1. Is it true that Edwards has illegal aliens working for him?
I think I saw that on a blog, somewhere....

2. Notice the "NBC reported" part -- I didn't see NBC. Presumably
others did and can confirm.

If you don't want to talk about that, then we can talk about the 2:1 MOV with white men in SC.

7. Well is it true that Edwards has illegal aliens working for him?
I think I saw someone say on a blog that they heard it reported on NBC.

8. Find it and prove it, or retract it.
That is a SCURRILOUS allegation, and a GUTTER-LEVEL tactic! :grr:

6. Settle down. It was on NBC nightly news. Nobody else heard this?

And I hope you're kidding. This isn't even an accusation. It's double hearsay evidence from an exit poll.

And I'm not the first person who ever quoted from a blog here at DU.

9. Locking.....

Allegedly "innocent" questions which are actually an underhanded effort to spread rumors are not allowed. If you really need to know the answer to your question, try Google.

3. I agree with your conclusion.
Edwards is the type of guy who could be our Reagan - a strong appeal to crossover voters. He won't give us forty-nine states, but I'll bet he'd be able to beat Bush handily if he ran a good campaign.

5. I agree.
Kerry is a weak candidate against Bush.
