Suppose five years ago, a bill passed the Senate but not the House.
Could the House pass it now and send it to the Conference Committee, or would the Senate have to pass it again first?

1. both have to pass it again
not just pass it but i think it starts from the start where it has to go through committee first and everything.

2. I believe bills die when the "session" is over...
which is every two years. Unless they are specifically continued. At least, that's what I remember from civics class, so I could be totally off.

3. I would think so, there are different
people there now. The House goes in sessions I don't know if the Senate does too but there are Senators that aren't there.

5. The Senate passed a bill to extend labor protections...
...to the Marianas Islands a long time ago. But Tom DeLay wouldn't let the bill get voted on in the House.
