Kucinich Marginalized? How Can We Fix This?
Okay. So we take these preference polls http://www.democraticunderground.com/discuss/duboard.php?az=show_mesg&forum=132&topic_id=2961418&mesg_id=2961418
and we get back our results and they tell us what we already know.
Few in Washington actually speak for us and those that do seem to have been effectively marginalized by the media.
This isn't about personalities, its about core beliefs.
Are we going to again be content to settle for "not so bad" or do we really want to be represented in our representative government?
When I watch CSPAN, and listen to the rhetoric (from both sides) I typically am left wanting to puke.
But then there's Kucinich (Feingold has ruled out prez run to focus on being a senator which isn't necessarily bad but still leaves us pondering 08).
How can we as a component in the now omnipotent cyberworld add potency to his otherwise largely ignored efforts?

1. I don't have an answer, but I agree. Bernie Sanders, too.
These guys carry the progressive flag and represent the values that my progressive parents raised me with, not the right-shift haze that obfuscates the debate today.

2. I think it will take a crisis of some sort...
in order to move this country back into the direction of a "progressive" mindset. By crisis, I mean a total economic crash, or megadisaster in conjunction with an economic collapse. Global warming will be catching up to us in the very near future and some hard facts will have to be faced.

Throughout American history, the corporate overlords have always been successful at tamping down any real progressive movements, we'll see what the future holds.
