By Doug Cunningham
Bob Ledwith of Ironworkers Local 46 in New York City says his union is helping to make some videophones available to U.S. troops at war overseas so they can see and talk with their loved ones during the holidays and beyond.
: "Just think of being able to see your baby. Let's say you're over there and your wife was pregnant when you left and the baby is born. And you can see it on the videophone, see your Mom and Dad. I mean, it's just - it's unlimited how people can share their moments so many thousands of miles away."
As other unions learn about this videophone program, the Ironworkers hope they will also get involved in the program to provide these videophones to U.S. troops in war zones.
NO HALIBURTON in sight doing anything like this!
