meet under the Democratic Umbrella - - So why can't we get their votes? WHERE do we lose them?

Most of those voters *I* have met are all for GLBT inclusion, helping less fortunates, repealing NCLB - - What is it that our party is doing that makes them NOT VOTE for our Dem candidates?


(or are we just fielding Lib-lite candidates?)


Can we try to discuss this? And after B***'s immense run up of the deficit, HOW can any of those groups continue to cite "fiscal responsibility" as a turning point away from the Dem party????

1. IMO, it's Bush's tax cuts for the rich, more than spending that is the problem

However, the war-on-its-way-to-one-trillion-dollars is inconcionable and probably morally worse for the nation.

2. We had a discussion about this tonight

after dinner! The conclusion we came to were that the democratic party is perceived as tax and spend, irresponsible and weak. This is what the GOP has been saying for years (decades)and the dems for the most part have let this stand being afraid of being called 'liberal'. We concluded that the dems are just as responsible for this as the GOP, they have failed to point out that conservatives are hypocrits that have done nothing for the people and it's time that they start reclaiming the liberal label and making conservative a bad word, something only a nut would identified with.
