Coldplay comes out in support of Kerry at Grammys
this from the BBC News report on the Grammys:

"British group Coldplay won the prestigious record of the year title for their song Clocks.

They dedicated the award to late country star Johnny Cash and Democratic presidential contender Senator John Kerry, "who hopefully will be your president one day."

Not as sensational as Mike Moore, but I thought this would have been reported in the US media. So far I haven't seen this included in reports on the Grammys.

BTW, you all should listen to Coldplay. They're stunning musicians.

2. That's good I guess, but
I always thought Coldplay were nothing more than Radiohead rip-offs.

4. welcome to DU, but
Coldplay doesn't deserve such disdain. Fact is, I'll be far more happy seeing bands ripping-off Radiohead than awful bands like Limp Biskit.
More power to Radiohead clones, I say.

3. Reminds me of Meryl Streep's acceptance speech at the Golden Globes
where she said she thought we had much more urgent priorities than who gets to get married and steroid abuse. I'm paraphrasing. Sure didn't see squat about THAT, either.
