23. it was exciting

really. my town's population is less than 1,400. i don't know the exact number of registered DEMs here, although i get the impression that it's pretty much split down the middle repubs to dems.

my district qualified for three delegate slots. we had thirty-three DEMs in attendance with some absentee ballots to be counted as well.
any one candidate had to get at least ten 'votes' to win a delegate.
DK was the first to get the required ten, he got more than that actually, but i am not sure on what the final tally was. there were no undecideds. the three slots were split between DK, Edwards and Kerry.

no one went for Dean, Clark, or Sharpton.

the DK crowd was an excited crowd, very enthusiastic. we all started cheering when we realized we had enough votes.

i don't know what else to say,
i'm looking forward to Portland in May.
and i am ready. :toast:

i am so psyched by all this... after the AZ primary finished, i'd had to refocus on all the other day to day stuff that i hadn't been doing. i close my eyes for a moment and here DK is with 3rd place finishes. AWESOME. i shall resume manning the phones! ^_^

I am proud that DK is starting to defy the conventional wisdom and actually go ahead of the likes of Edwards, Clark and Sharpton. I hope the media will stop treating him like crap and that we can get a REAL discussion about important issues, primary of which is the battle for the soul of the Democratic Party, and in that battle, DK's CORRECT position on the matter.

I am glad I made another donation to his campaign earlier today, and I look forward to Minnesota's March 2nd caucus to show my support!!!!
