16. Clark is doing GREAT!
Fabulous points about the voters he will bring into the party.

Powerful statements about the legitimacy of this war--"since when do we go into a country when we don't like the leader." (paraphrased)

"You don't go to war unless there's NO OTHER alternative."

Jeez...he's such a fabulous American.

No one in the race speaks as well as Clark on issues of national security.

23. He's nailing it!!!
He's crystalizing the feelings of a MAJORITY of Americans on how they're now feeling about Shrub!

Wolf trying to get him to say the 530 soldiers "died in vain." Wes says they didn't die in vain because they were following the orders of the CiC - and that the CiC was wrong!

Excellent! If Wes doesn't get the nomination, he should get Sec of State!

He just keeps getting better and better at it.

This is one long interview. I thought it would be your typical three minute segment, but they're coming back after the break and it'll be twenty minutes at least.

I really wish the primary and caucus voters would pay more attention to Clark.

wow a lot of air time for both Clark and Dean

maybe he could talk about the fact that Republicans would call for the impeachment of any Democrat with the foggy memory and bad paperwork that denotes Bush's lackluster service record.

43. 30 year old issues aren't necessarily relevant
Edited on Sun Feb-08-04 02:20 PM by democracy eh
many folks will pass it off as ancient history. Besides, Chimpy has done more than enough bad things in the past 3 years to focus on.

maybe he should have said "there are more relevant issues, than AWOL" doesn't mean its not an issue

It is more than appropriate for the media or others to call Bush out and let the American people draw their own distinctions between the Democratic nominee and that vegetable in the oval office.

why is everyone trying to distance themselves from the AWOL thing??

Once again...if the parties were reversed, we'd have 24/7 coverage of why the Democrat was a deserter!

47. BUT! That would make MOST questions off-limits
I mean, Clark doesn't know for certain that NO weapons will be found in Iraq....maybe he shouldn't criticize Bush over it??

No...you know that's a ludicrous option. I feel the same way about this AWOL thing...if Clark has nothing else, he's got general's stars...I think he would be uniquely qualified to criticize someone for having a spotty service record.

50. Clark has already taken bullets on this issue
for the Dems; he stood by Michael Moore after deserter comments, & took a pummeling from the press.

At that time Kerry did the Texas Two-Step, & said it was over the top. Wes was left hanging in the wind, so Kerry could look Presidential.
