Attack, attack, attack...the issue is Republican tactics and incompetence..not Kerry's statement
Edited on Tue Oct-31-06 05:32 PM by SaveElmer
It is another slimy Republican campaign ploy...and I think it will be seen as such...

John Kerry does not have a history of dissing the troops, so folks are not likely to beleive he has strated now...

But, by responding as they have, the Republicans are opening a door for Democrats. By directly challenging John Kerry on national TV, Bush has practically forced to cover the response...

That response will be a ringing denunciation of both Bush's disastrous Iraq policy, and an equally harsh denunciation of these campaign tactic. The media will be forced to switch the nature of their coverage.

In order for this to be truly effective however, it requires all Democrats, no matter what they think of Kerry's statement...to strongly stand behind him, and attack, attack, attack

1. Exactly - We need to attack Bush on his Iraq policy. They opened the door to that.
Time to go and attack.

2. statement
Edited on Tue Oct-31-06 05:37 PM by Parche
After reading what he said, it had nothing to do with disrespecting the troops at all.
The right wing constipated conservatives are foaming at the mouth, trying to find something
wrong or bad with his statement.

Let them try

Remember the one who should be apologizing but never will is Rush Limbneverservedbaugh
on his horrid statement on Michael J Fox......

3. We can't rely on the notion that Kerry's statement will be read...
By most people. What it contains will be defined by the media, and the response of the Democratic Party.

4. Ideally we should all be attacking Bush right along with Kerry, but that's
not the way some establishment Dems will play it - they will side with Bush yet again over Kerry just as they did many times in the past.

Keeping the books closed on BCCI is WAY more important to these people than Dem takeover of Congress.
