So if we should happen to not win next week...
What would be the main complaints as to why? At least in terms of the contrast to the past few campaigns and the valid criticisms that dogged us during those and clearly led to dem defeats.

For the most part there hasn't been any major dem scandal story that's gotten a lot of traction in the mainstream media. Definitely nothing as bad as has been hitting the republicans.

The party seems to be pumping money into a lot of different races and utilizing Dean's 50 state strategy to good effect.

Most of the candidates seem to be running solid, sensible liberal campaigns and criticizing Bush heavily and taking their opponents to task and not being mealy mouthed and wishy washy about things.

Yet I'm still fearful that we'll lose next week. I obviously hope it's not the case. But if that happens can there be any other reason at this point than the voting public is just completely idiotic and/or lazy? I mean seriously. Everything is on our side and the dems don't really seem to be screwing up in the ways that they've screwed up in the past and the media is being slightly less reprehensible than they've been in the run up to past elections.

Please note: This is a "voting machine/fraud free" discussion. There are just too many races in too many areas in too many different states that are competitive for that to be a factor in what happens next week. Save your breath (or typing energy) calling me blind or ignorant or having my head in the sand or whatever. There are plenty of threads and plenty of people on here who I'm sure would be willing to engage in that discussion with you.

6. We're going to win.
It's as simple as that. I wouldn't have made such a declaration a week ago, but every poll for the house, strongly indicates that we will hold a majority. Even the Senate is still an outside possibility. And sorry to bring up fraud, but I think that's the only way the repukes could win this time.

7. Oh boy.
A thread that is an election fraud free discussion. :bounce:

I think its pretty simple. In the past the Republican fire up the base and divide the country strategy worked because enough of the independents/liberal Repuke/conservative Dem folks (swing voters) went along with the WOT theme and the cut taxes smaller government theme. It is only becoming apparent to a large number of these folks they have been had.

This election is the anti neocon, anti Repuke control of money election.

I am not sure how you define lose though. I am guessing you mean they retain control of both houses. It seems very unlikely they can retain the House of Representatives at this point. But then I am not an expert on polling these kinds of races and maybe the polls of House races and generic party preference are completely worthless and nobody will admit it.
