Need opinions on Law (R) and Brown (D), the candidates for state rep in MI

Need opinions on Law (R) and Brown (D), the candidates for state rep in MI
My mom is thinking about voting for Law (R) over Brown (D) for state rep mostly because she met Law and liked the things he was saying. I know nothing about this race as I don't live in her district. Any information that DUers would like me to pass along to her would be appreciated. My mom usually votes for Democrats by the way.

2. I already did do that. I know that many MI DUers don't go to the MI forum
and my mom is filling out her absentee ballot now.
