1. I would love to see Virginia

go Democratic in 2004. The last time Virginia voted for a Democratic president was 40 years ago. But they do have a Democratic governor. I would also love to see Allen kicked out as senator when he comes up for reelection again in a few years.

2. Looking At All the Polls...

makes me wonder what this race would be like if Edwards had won a couple thousand extra votes in Oklahoma and won last week. Chances are Clark would have dropped out and now we'd have a viable alternative to Kerry. As it stands now, everywhere Edwards is running strong his vote is being split by Clark.

Of course, this makes an amazing number of assumptions that Clark supporters wouldn't thrown their weight for Kerry, but I guess I'm still trying to come up with a scenario that leaves us with a nominee that isn't Kerry...

3. Speaking as a Clark supporter

who likes Edwards (and not a big fan of Kerry), I really don't think I'd go to Edwards.

His lack of experience in foreign policy is a non-starter for me. Same for Dean.

I'd have to go with Kerry (but not be happy about it) b/c of foreign policy experience.

I think if Clark did drop out, there would be a split of supporters to Kerry, a small split to Edwards, and a decent split to Dean (believe it or not, considering the previous animosity between the camps). Some Clark and Dean supporters are in agreement about wanting an 'outsider', and neither Kerry or Edwards are that.

I think this also goes for Dean supporters as well . . . if Dean were to drop out, a fair number would go to Clark.

their vision of America, and I'd be stunned if people didn't chose Edwards's vision over Kerry's.

Look at the numbers hard. Clark & Edwards together equal 39%. Kerry and half the undecideds beat that number.

7. If it were Kerry vs Edwards debating their visions of America, are you

confident Kerry would win that debate? Or are you glad Clarke, Dean, Sharpton, and Kucinich supporters along with the undecideds aren't confronted with that debate?
