Kerry: $900,000 in 48 hours

You are incredible! The story of what the johnkerry.com community has done over the last two years to win these mid term elections is one of the best untold stories in politics. You could’ve licked your wounds, you could've given up, but you kept fighting, you dug deeper, you got stronger – and now with it all on the line in the last 48 hours you contributed $900,000 to these must-win Senate races. You’ve scared the hell out of Ken Mehlman and the Republicans! Now it’s onwards.

1. And here there were
stories of Kerry not doing anything. :eyes: Go Kerry! I wish he'd still come and campaign for Ford. I would love that.

4. Those were PLANTED stories. Lies. Meant to attack a strongpoint for Kerry
which happens to be that he has donated more, fundraised more, and campaigned more for 2006 candidates than any other lawmaker.

As the swifts went after Kerry's strongpoint against Bush - Kerry was a war hero, Bush was a chickenhawk, some swiftsmearing Dem STRATEGIST thought they could do the same by lying to the netroots and telling them the exact opposite of what Kerry was doing.

The lies travel faster and hang longer than truth. They are also infused with utter hatred for one of the best Dem lawmakers this country has had in the last 35 years.

21. That may be so. Hi, Clarkie1. I was just offering a counterpoint
to Kos' call-out on Kerry.

Fair's fair. And if Kos has been generous, I'm grateful for it.

5. This is the John Kerry I busted my ass for!
The John Kerry who fights for all of us! He's been a pitbull since returning to the Senate.

All I can say about 2004 was he spent way too much time listening to the Clinton moderates who helped Bill win but haven't won since and not enough fighting the campaign the way he was capable of once the election went national. When I worked for him in the primaries, he showed that backbone that helped him go from seemingly dead in the race in November '03 to winning Iowa and sweeping the states basically afterwards from there on.

I would gladly support him again in 2008 if I knew it was *THAT* John Kerry were were getting in the general election. Frankly the Clintonites don't know how to win a campaign against Rove and this crew. They helped Bill get elected but never helped anyone win Congress back since and Bill ran against a dud candidate in Bob Dole. Their pressure to tone down the "liberal" views of Al Gore and John Kerry took their campaign voices away and I'm pretty much fed up with them.

I'm so glad to see Kerry still working hard for our candidates, using every resource available to him, and fighting hard for us on every turn in the Senate.

That's the fighter I went to war for in 2004.

10. Those Dem "strategists" haven't figured out that today's media is a vastly
different animal than the one they originally dealt with in 1992. The corporate agenda in place now IMPEACHED a popular, silver-throated President, fer chrissakes. Impeachmented Al Gore. Impeachmented Dan Rather. Impeachmented Kerry.

Then Schiavo and Katrina hit. Two UNSPINNABLE matters of privacy, life and death.

25. I, too, wished Kerry hadn't listened to the
consultants. Damn. But I don't care what anyone says, John Kerry won in'04. Blackwell stole the election here in Ohio.

We're getting ready to kick Blackwell's ass to the moon.

27. Gen Clark is a good and honorable man
There are a lot of good and honorable Democrats. That's the point of raising all this money. All those good and honorable Democrats belong in public office.

It's the 'win at any cost' people who have no agenda but demeaning and smearing these good and honorable people. It's the Repubs who run on deception, division and deceit who need to be kicked out of public office.

I think that's why the money came in. A Jim Webb is infinitely preferable to a George Allen in the Senate, and so forth for the other Senate Democratic candidates. That's what it's about. People 'get' that, and they responded.

against that nerdy, slimy, no good Jim Talent.

I heard a new Claire ad last night, paid for by the DSCC. Thanks John!
