Dean on Ed Schultz show, audio....Dean on ABC today...Video.
And later today he is going to be in CA campaigning for Angelides.

Audio from Schultz show yesterday:

Video from Good Morning America today. May I say whatever the hell happened to Diane Sawyer...didn't she used to have some credibility? Have they all sold their souls?

Dean did a good job on both interviews.

2. She was very pathetic and snide.
I remember I used to respect her. Kind of sad. She did not even seem convinced of what she was spouting.

3. Everyone should listen to this (Ed Shultz tape)
Edited on Thu Oct-26-06 10:59 AM by Norquist Nemesis
and pay attention (particularly) to how he handles the tax issue. That's what the Cons will be highlighting in these last two weeks. The national security issue just isn't cutting it for them and "Liberals will raise your taxes!" is all they have left to fling.

To confirm, I also heard last night (Larry King, I believe) that 75% of the ads the Cons are running now are about Liberals will raise your taxes.

We can't ignore this but have to face it seriously and hit back or even FIRST with it; They lie and more die.

4. "the president is still the president" even if we win.
Dean is right. Bush is still the one in charge of Iraq.

Sawyer was pathetic. Sad.

5. Is there a YouTube or C&L of the video?
ABC video requires Flash 8.0 which is unavailable in Linux at this time.

Is there a version of the ABC video in another format? E.G., YouTube or Crooks & Liars?

6. Campbell Brown was equally snide...video from MSNBC
Our so-called media has become so pathetic it is unbelievable. It is like they have all, including the once respected Diane Sawyer, been given their talking points. They are rehearsed at using them, then they only call Democrats to account.

Here is the MSNBC video. Another good job by Dean, a sell-out by Campbell, wife of Dan Senor, the Bush guy.

7. Don't forget Sawyer was an old Nixon employee.
I remember when she "interviewed" little Elian Gonzales down in Miami and especially the shocked look on her face when she was asked whether she had gotten the permission of the boy's father to put him on TV. She's always been on the dark side.

9. Thanks, did not know that. Due in CA for noon rally as well.
I am trying to figure how he can be at the DNC for this morning's interview...be on Franken's show, and then be in Los Angeles for a noon rally with Angelides.

Maybe the GMA backdrop was not the DNC, but it sure did look like it.

Thanks for the heads up.

11. Well, 1:00 EST is 10:00 in CA, so I guess he's in California?
Maybe he's calling from the plane.

10. Wow! Even better on ED
Wish he had the opportunity to talk about taxes on ABC this morning - much bigger audience.

But no, Diane made sure he stayed on the defensive the whole time. "Gee, why can't every single Dems agree on an exact schedule for fixing little Georgie's f%ck-up in Iraq?"

17. Dean on NPR today...another combative host.
http://www.npr.org/templates/story/story.php?storyId=6391299

It was a good interview, but the interviewer stayed on the offensive...and was combative like they never are with Ken Mehlman.

One thing Dean said that I liked. The host said he knew Dean had said he wouldn't talk about policy. Dean corrected him right away. He said he never did say that.

He said that he could not "set" policy, but that of course he would talk about policy. He said there are those in Washington who wish he wouldn't, but he said to think that someone who spent 12 years as governor and two years running for president is not going to talk about policy is just wrong.
