Strickland challenge dropped in Ohio
Another in what promises to be a string of losses for Ken Blackwell:
An East Liverpool woman's challenge of the voter registration of Democratic gubernatorial candidate Ted Strickland ended with a whimper.

Late Tuesday afternoon, an attorney for Jacquelyn Long submitted a short letter asking to withdraw the challenge to Strickland's voter residency that had been lodged with the Columbiana County Board of Elections. Long had claimed that Strickland did not live in a Lisbon apartment listed as his voting address, but instead in a Columbus condo he owns.

Long's attorney, Lawrence Stacey II, said he and his client concluded it was not in her best interest to continue pursuing the issue. He said a state appeals court ruling that temporarily blocked a Board of Elections hearing on the issue was a factor.

2. It's all over but the shouting in Ohio. Mr. Blackwell is about to have
his cheating hindend kicked and kicked good.

Blackwell was the presiding officer as Secretary of State, a position he disgraced by his actions and deceits in the 2004 vote.

All polls say the same: Blackwell is going down and by a handsome margin.

Go, Ted Strickland.

6. Hmmm, residency challenges
Dick Cheney probably doesn't want to answer a lot of fool questions about whether his true residence is in Wyoming (like he wants everyone to think) or in Texas (which would violate the Constitution). Probably best for all concerned (in the GOP) not to nail this sort of thing down too well so that the fudging can continue.

8. He needs to be prosecuted.
Blackwell belongs in a prison cell, not in office.

9. Good
Glad to hear Blackwell can't get him for that. There's nothing there as long as he votes at the place he's registered and everything I think.

10. Great news!!!
The sooner that Blackwell s.o.b. is out--and, I hope, being prosecuted--the better!
