They serve a important role, but ideally, make sure your local candidates are supported!

5. That's what I do.

Too many PACS end up giving money to candidates I wouldn't choose to support. I've given small donations to about a dozen candidates in my area. Small donations have a bigger impact in local elections where PACS rarely give. I also want donations to go to races in my area. Sure, other states are important, but my first responsibility is to my own community and state. Most PACS don't give money to the good progressive candidates for local office that will be the Congressional candidates of tomorrow.
