Urge County Attorney to Prosecute School Principal for Shooting Kittens

Wade Pilloud, principal of the Indus school in Koochiching County, Minnesota recently resigned after he shot two kittens on school property. The cats were orphaned after their mother was killed in a trap he'd set on school grounds that crushes skunks and woodchucks to death. Please "Take Action" to urge County Attorney Jennifer Hasbargen to prosecute Pilloud to the fullest extent of the law for possessing a firearm on school property, reckless discharge of a firearm and cruelty to animals.

Also, please tell a friend about this issue and donate to IDA so that we can continue our important work for animals.

2. Let's focus on the election...
People are only willing to volunteer so much. Let's win this election and then worry about things that don't have a deadline in 13 days.

more than one thing at a time.

MKJ

edited to add, you are giving the impression that you've very recently joined DU merely to lecture us on what we should do or not do.

6. We're the party that sticks up for the defenseless.
If you can't spare five minutes to write a letter because you're so busy focusing on the election, more power to you. Don't discourage those who have a few minutes to devote to other causes of great import.

13. Not in the least, just...
I'm frustrated that people in general (not just here) seem more willing to spend hours on the internet and complain when they could spend that time electing Democrats, literally making the difference in uncountable races.

Also, cases like this won't be affected by outside influence. They'll be handled internally. It may not be a happy thought; I'd even like to think they could be impacted. But the reality is outside meddling only leads to resistance and distraction from those concerned citizens in the area to whom the powers that be are accountable to.

15. It is what it is...
elections do not suspend morals in any neighborhood. If I commit a crime tonite I hope my neighbors will see fit to have me arrested...and not wait until after the election.

16. Miscontruing my points in this way...
is something that we see from the media so often today. My point is simple: the community that this involves will deal with this. Anyone on DU from that community obviously should be involved. But that's a local issue and communities everywhere deal with nutty inhumane people like this all the time. Daily. And one would only hope someone that twisted is removed from the school system rather quickly.

What I was making a point about is that people are so willing to "come to the rescue" when it involves verbally addressing the problem (which includes signing a petition), but when it comes to actually stepping out the front door and getting busy, there's a disconnect. I'm not saying that's the case with this particular poster, I'm saying it's a general culture.

20. Are you kidding???

Somehow, I think that we can manage to do both things. :eyes:

In reference to interfering with local issues, it's my belief that people being aware that the world is watching makes a difference as to whether things are actually dealt with or not.

to call the animal shelter for a pick-up? A responsible MAN would actually deliver the kittens to the shelter himself.

Some students were still on school grounds participating in after-school activities when Pilloud killed the cats and even heard the gun's report.

Seeing a kitten shot can traumatize a child.Hearing the gun can too..What is a pricipal DOING shooting a firearm while schoolchildren are around on school property? Kids knowing a kitten is being shot is upsetting ,and it is WRONG to shoot a kitten whether kids are present or not..

As a so called "authority figure", Pilloud set a very sick example for students by shooting the kittens. His actions send the wrong message to impressionable children: that it is acceptable to hurt and kill helpless animals.
Wonder why schools already have TOO MANY BULLIES getting away with too much cruelty to other students? A principal killing kittens is excactly the kind of disgusting degeneratye behavior of a bully His actions reinforces the bully mentality that is destroying the moral fabric of this nation.
This lazty cruel arrogant "authoritarian" was too incompetant to gather the kittens and take them to an animal shelter where they could be cared for and adopted out to loving homes, Pilloud chose the most ipsychopathic solution: needlessly taking their lives for NO REASON.
MAKE him accountable for his crimes and bad character and destructive influence.

This callous fool Pilloud obviously has some serious character flaws and a reckless disregard for life, and I would not trust him or his judgement or sanity to be safe around my young cousins.
Throw the book at him, please, give him the fullest punishment permitted under the law for such a barbaric act. CVonsientious, compassionate human beings do not need evil people like him on the loose in Koochiching County or anywhere else for that matter.

(not included in in the letter)

Hey Pilloud!! you fuckface! You are vile..I hate you for the same reason I hate frist, you are a psychopathic cat murdering pig.May the Catgods torment the living shit out of you with your guilt and shame.
May these images invade your dreams..

14. I hate cat killers,
Edited on Wed Oct-25-06 09:48 PM by undergroundpanther
I really do. I hate people that think it's ok to just kill a helpless animal for laziness sake. People like him ARE the problem even though they are convinced they are better than everyone else.. they are defective in the morality department. And defective in self worth appraisal its way overblown.
I did not include the images or the hey fucklface part in the letter I sent to the site. What this idiot did just really pissed me off.. So Why not let it be known just how pissed off asshole people like this pilloud jerk makes me feel. The last pic is a wrathful form of Vishnu, that is what Vishnu does to bullies who abuse children..The picture is of a being called Nargasima(sp)tearing up a man who raped a child in his care.
