Okay dick, thanks for the wake up call. We'll peak again in two weeks.

(Heard on CBS radio news.)

That would explain the loosening grip on reality.

9. let's look at Morris's past predictions--guess what, they're wrong!
http://conwebwatch.tripod.com/stories/2002/morris.html

Morris, in fact, has a long history of http://www.washingtonpost.com/wp-srv/politics/special/clinton/stories/morris020399.htm">murky prognostication. In 1998, he predicted the Democrats "will absolutely be obliterated" in the midterm elections, losing 30 House seats and five Senate seats. (Democrats wound up gaining five House seats and holding even in the Senate.) He also predicted that five certain Democratic senators might side with the GOP on calling witnesses during Clinton's impeachment trial; all of them voted to dismiss the trial instead.

http://conwebwatch.tripod.com/stories/2002/morris.html

and we should believe a pandering turncoat liar with a track record of bad predictions because...?

13. There is a reason why he's never worked on US campaigns in 10 years
He is always wrong and he has a very Beltway, Georgetown Cocktail Party attitude about the world.

What an irrelevant waste of space that asshole is...he's like a cartoon character of himself...there's dignity in knowing when to leave the stage, but he'll never be accused of being dignified, I guess.

He's no Nostradamus. So why the hell does anyone care what he has to say?

He only has a job because he's willing to parrot GOP talking points. He's an operative, and nothing more.

18. I've had that gnawing worry for the past week myself.
True, the Iraq issue hasn't changed. But the Pukes have had a month to recover from the release of Woodward's book and Foleygate. Coverage of those things in the news media is all but gone. That's a lot of time for the Pukes to try to polish the turd that is their party.

I hope he's wrong. I hope I'm worried for nothing. But we Dems have a long history of snatching defeat from the jaws of victory.

19. Senate maybe, the House is ours
Morris is just trying to change the prevailing perception on the House. But it won't work.

As far as the Senate, we need either Tennessee or Virginia. Both are possible, but I've learned never to count on the South in elections.

always predicts what the very latest polls show. I've never seen him be right, yet.

I was getting worried when he was predicting a landslide for the Dems, but now I can start to relax. :)

21. "The situation on the ground in Iraq."
That's all you need to know about the next two weeks leading up to the election. No matter how
the Rs try to spin it, things are going to get worse.

Nov 1: we get the body count for October and it will be the worst in years. That will be the story
going into the weekend and coming out to the election. Who in the hell knows what other
ghastly stories will emerge from the quagmire between now and Nov 7? We could have American soldiers
tortured to death, for god's sake. We will have additional coffin nails flying out of the Foley story.

And, the negative ads that the Rs are running will be backfiring in the midst of all this bad news.

We just can't take the voting public for granted. We need to get out the vote big time to prove Dick Morris wrong. I don't think the Democratic Party has peaked either... but we still need to fight and push for them last minute votes.

Mark.

34. Good analysis Dick
He was also right that North Korea would swing the polls back their direction and they would pick up seats. That seems to be spot on! Hanitty and Morris are two peas in a pod and they both think people are waking up and realizing that we need strong republican leadership to win the war on terror. Sorry, guys, that's soooooo 2002. Now we realize we need non-fucking crazy people in charge so we can come up with a reasonable strategy.
