Well let's see if we can get some clues.
Here's the

I Googled that Travis Street address and came up with
this spreadsheet from
publicintegrity.org. That spreadsheet shows an organization called "Access Communications" at that address. It also shows that, in 2002 "Access Communications" made two separate $200,000 :wow: donations to a committee by the name of "Republican Leadership Coalition" for a total of $400,000. (The Republican Leadership Coalition by the way is shown as being located at 1800
K Street, Suite 1122, Washington, DC 20006. Note the K Street address.)
Those two donations were made on 09/30/2002 and 12/31/2002.
This page, also on publicintegrity.org also shows that in 2002 an organization named "Access Group Communications" gave a total of $400,000 to the "Republican Leadership Coalition". The weird thing is, further down on that same page it show that, in that same year, the "Republican Leadership Coalition" gave $400,000 to "Access Group Communications". :wtf: Maybe there's some benign explanation that some accountant DUer can explain to me, or
maybe it was some sort of money laundering scheme involving the shifting of nearly 1/2 million dollars back and forth between these two organizations.
http://publicintegrity.org/527/profile-pf.aspx?act=dir&sub=1&cycle=2004&id=480">This page shows that, in 2004 "Access Group Communications" received $60,000 from the "Republican Leadership Coalition". This time there doesn't appear to have been a reciprocal transaction.
I can't find any info on any 2006 donations, but it's probably too soon for all of that info to be available.
There are other things located at that same Travis Street address. Such as "
Elect Rodney Robinson, and "
Progress for America Voter Fund" which lists a number of expenditures and donations.
Publicintegrity.org gives a website address for the "Republican Leadership Coalition",
http://www.republicanleadership.org/ which loads an "under construction" page. The
whois page for republicanleadership.org shows the following:

The registrant is the Fairness Foundation which has a website at
http://www.fairnessfoundation.org/. The Fairness Foundation was founded in 1998 to assist low income children in getting access to better education and to assist the uninsured in getting good health care.
Sounds like a great organization. Why the hell are they the registrant for the domain of the "Republican Leadership Coalition", which is apparently a K Street firm that appears to fund over the top Republican propaganda ads and moves around large amounts of money in questionable ways? :wtf:
The Fairness Foundation sent
http://www.fairnessfoundation.org/docs/OH_AG%20COMMENTS.pdf">this letter (warning, PDF) to the Ohio Attorney General. It attacks not-for-profit hospitals for making what it says are excessive profits. Sound like real crusaders for the public good, don't they? Interestingly, it appears that they share a street address with
http://medicalsavings.com/">"Medical Savings Health Plan", a health insurance company - actually, a health
savings account company. If I recall correctly, Bush loves health savings accounts. Curiouser and curiouser.
I could probably keep digging all night but it's late and I have to be at work in the morning. Hopefully the late hour won't cause this thread to sink into oblivion.
