Yahoo headline "90 die in sectarian violence". Is that civil war?

4. Sectarian usually implies that religion is involved
Most civil wars have have a religious component to them, but not necessarily.

5. "Civil war" has fewer letters?
"Sectarian Violence" is between sects; it can sometimes
be extremely LOCALIZED, like what we call "Gang Warfare"
in some US cities.

But when the point is reached where there is NO sect
in a particular nation which is NOT involved in the
"sectarian violence", it's a "civil war".

Whether the US media admits it or not.

7. Civil war is more easily recognized.
Bush-types think the other is what happens when secretaries get mad at each other.
