1. Were the streets plowed?
I remember reading that the whole city of Detroit had like 10 plows, and only the mayors street was done, back in the blizzard a few years ago. :)

Go Detroit!!! :D

4. Great news!
Snow here in Chicagoland, so I was worried. As long as it stays plowed till tomorrow, it's all good! :D :D

2. Many sites were running out of ballots. We had approximately 200
people at our little site. It was a beautiful thing. Go Dems!!!

5. It's incredible to me that they could run out of ballots!
They ought to have a number of cars with a few thousand ballots in the trunk, ready to be rushed to whereever they're needed, plus someone at a central xerox machine printing more as the stock is depleted.

It's anti-democratic to run out of ballots no matter *how* big the turnout!

6. Well, with the mistakes made on caucus sites...something is already
beginning to smell fishy. I am just grateful for the Democratic turnout that better show up in the vote tally.

9. I don't think there is anything fishy
Inefficient yes, inept, perhaps, but I don't believe there is anything nefarious going on. I can't see how the problems that have been reported would favor any particular candidate over the others, so I don't understand what motivation anyone would have to create these problems deliberately.

11. Here is the problem...They knew these sites were wrong a month
ago. It is obvious they did nothing about the city while fixing the mistakes in the suburbs. A massive effort was made on the behalf of several campaigns-Edwards and Dean being two of them-to get the Detroit vote out. It's very suspicious to me when they knew of this long ago. We were calling voters...and we had the wrong caucus sites in January. It was supposed to be fixed. I guess it may be,in a way.

8. On the other hand
I don't think we want stacks of ballots floating around unaccounted for, do we?

10. That is correct
The total of cast, spoiled, and unused ballots is supposed to equal the total printed. And the total of cast ballots is supposed to equal the number of people voted as indicated on the rolls.

7. This is wonderful!
I hope we can keep the number of voters kicked up all the way through November!

12. I tend to think it is a GIVEN that those who vote in the Dem primary
WILL vote in the G.E., and they WILL vote for ABB. Couple those votes with those of most Independents, some Republicans, and many of those who (usually) can't be bothered to vote, and I smell a landslide that even Diebold will not be able to hold back. Bring...him...ON!!
