Will Pitt - any way you know of I can get some literature on Dennis? I want to go armed with some info in April! There are some uncommitted delegates that will be there. Not many people knew anything about Kucinich - so I need to be prepared next time!

edited to add: I'm in WA - my avatar is because I'm a MI girl at heart!

I'm Washington State caucus coordinator for the Kucinich campaign. Get in touch with the state campaign office at 206/633-6068 for campaign materials. Ask for Judith, the office manager. We have everything you need.

68. hi. i'm a delegate for DK too.
I was pleased with the experience of the caucus. people seem so unexposed to DK. "Who is he?" is a very common response. When someone asks me that, I say, "Oh, the "liberal" media has kept him out of the public view. Then I mention a bit about him and the validity of his candidacy. Then I ask them to think about why they don't know who he is??? I think his invisibilty is a strong statement about the "management" of the media, and the potential threat he is considered. why else keep him invisible?

When I think of Dennis, I think of Fred Neal singing his song about the dolphins...

I was wondering about that-- all the gushing about Dean not getting the lefty vote, yet no mention about DK's ±15% showing. Blitzer's probably trying to figure out how he'll spin this one.

23. Dennis has told us.
In his email postcards, I assume you folks are getting them too, Dennis has said there are some surprises coming!

I mentioned in another post that as more people hear about Dennis Kucinich, and as more people get outraged at the state of the country, his numbers will go up. I'd love to see Ted Koppel's face as he has to acknowledge Dennis's rising success!

More and more people are realizing that the mass corporate media is really not the media (in the public interest).

25. ohmigod ohmigod ohmigod!
*FINALLY* some people with COURAGE!

*ahem* now that I've got that out of my system...

I have a cartoon by Leigh Dunlap about the LGB March on Washington. It shows two reporters looking at the hundreds and hundreds of thousands of LGB people filling the Capitol Mall. One says to the other 'My God, I've *never* seen anything like this. Whaddaya suppose the numbers are?' To which the other replies 'Just put down "thousands"'.

What'll you bet that unless DK comes first, it'll be 'just put down "some votes"'.

Edited on Sat Feb-07-04 06:57 PM by Mairead
it feels so awful if the early results aren't borne out by the later ones.

And that's not even counting the emotional effect of ugly, suspect changes such as a supposed net loss of votes concurrent with more precincts reporting.

78. hmmmm
There's nothing suspicious about %ages moving up or down, I agree.

And there's nothing suspicious about absolute numbers moving up.

But for absolute numbers for a candidate to move down while the total absolute number moves up? How does one account for that in an innocent way, especially for a non-trivial number of votes?

83. There were 48
Democrats from my precinct. The biggest group at the cacus location.

Here is the delegate split

Kucinich 2
Dean 2
Kerry 2

there were 3 undecideds in the crowd and I lobbied hard for Dennis.

This was all after I told the entire room about BBV.

Some were shocked to hear. THere were 3 people that heard of my campaign.

It was a great day!

80. Wow! This is so great! I'd actually forgotten about politics
completely tonight so imagine my surprise and delight to check my e-mail and get the message from the Kucinich campaign!!!

Now I'm going loco trying to find out the final percentages. There are 90 posts in the Official Washington thread that Earl G began so I didn't wade into it yet, and CNN was finishing up a story on the votes but not mentioning anyone but Kerry during the last minute or two that I caught before they started a report on online dating. Surely CNN Headline News is going to have the WA and MI results soon. Oh, crap, all they said was that Kerry is winning! Arrggghhhh!

Somebody post some numbers here, please!

Dennis :yourock: :hippie:  :toast:  :toast:

81. cnn link

I didn't refresh the page before copying the link to paste here, but I suspect it's still at 92% reporting.
