Dean in Miami at several events tomorrow.
http://news.yahoo.com/s/usnw/20061009/pl_usnw/dnc_chairman_howard_dean_to_address_university_of_miami_young___college_democrats351_xml

"Democratic National Committee Chairman Howard Dean will address the University of Miami's Young & College Democrats, as well as College Democrats from Florida International University and Miami Dade College, at UM's Storer Auditorium Tuesday afternoon. The visit comes one week after College Democrats of America announced a field plan to mobilize the youth vote in the last 30 days before the November 7th elections all across the country. CDA chapters nationwide are running national canvassing activities, dorm storms and campaign invasions designed to maximize the youth vote and help Democrats bring a new direction for America.

TUESDAY, OCTOBER 10, 2006
Who: DNC Chairman Howard Dean
What: Speech to UM College & Young Democrats
When: Tuesday, October 10th at 4 PM
Where: University of Miami, School of Business Administration, Storer Auditorium, 5250 University Drive, Miami, FL"

There is also a fundraiser in Coral Gables tomorrow evening. I have info if you want to go. I don't like to post private homes on the net.

1. My God, does this poor guy EVER get to go home?
Just a little while ago I read a post that said he was walking door to door in NH for candidates there!

Hereally deserves a BIG thank you from all of us for all his work!

2. Actually it was in Maine
He spoke at a breakfast for Democrats early this morning and then hit the canvass trail with our Governor and Congressman. He's rarely in his office. :)

4. Maybe a surprise appearance at the Klein v Shaw debate
tomorrow night in Coral Springs?

I urge all Klein supporters to come out and give, give give.

7. I posted this because our state party did not.
They sent out mails about Obama coming here, Kerry, Warner, and soon Hillary. Just got the email on Hillary.

They didn't have Governor Dean's appearance anywhere on the old site and it is not up at the new one. They have not sent out an email about his events in Miami,

So I posted about it because fair is fair.

I don't like how Navarro put down the 50 state plan at the last meeting here in Florida. I don't like how he talks down about "DFA folks" causing problems.

It is a shame, and Dean's visit should have been as highly publicized as the others.

8. Another thing I noticed...
Edited on Mon Oct-09-06 08:13 PM by madfloridian
when he was in TX recently, it was not mentioned at the Dem party site.

It was a small donor fundraiser for grassroots, but it is just common courtesy.

But I just looked at the Maine party site where he was today, and it is proudly listed.

Dean's visit was not on the Democratic website here. Wuzzup with that?

10. The NC Dem party has a lot about him on the site, though.
If you do a search. They have been encouraging to him about coming there. If you do a search at the Florida Dem site....you get zero. Nothing. Lots about others but not him.

Some of the reddest states are welcoming, and some like Florida (because of who is in charge) simply ignore him.

Kind of odd. That Coral Gables fundraiser looks like all the way from really big money on down to $100 minimum. I assume Florida will get some of that money, the DNC some. It just seems odd honestly.

They have sent emails about all the others, but not one word about tomorrow.
