MSNBC and their 'slant' on the Foley thing .......
I will admit that I'm predisposed to see MSNBC as turning toward a more honest reportage style, the continued presence of the shrill, snarky Tucker (and a few others) notwithstanding. So, with that said ......

Am I imagining things or have they been pretty consistently hammering the RW yakkers about their bullshit? A few of these encounters have already been mentioned in other threads.

Not only that, but they're asking the right questions. Pretty much, their theme this morning has been "What did HasTurd know and when did he know it?" And they're also having single guests on to discuss it, not just the usual 'moral equivalency' type debates with a (far too often) hapless lefty and a screaming rightie.

And kudos to them about the North Korea thing ...... not so much on they're reporting it, but that they're not letting Foley fall off the radar.

I'd be interested in the thoughts of other regular MSNBC viewers.

1. Really?
I'd have thought for sure this morning when the nuke test news broke that Foley would be shoved off the airwaves.

Mind you, I thought the same thing during those Amish killings

2. I agree. MSNBC's coverage has been pretty fair. They seem to
be holding the repuke feet to the fire.

3. I've noticed this, too
Ever since Dan Abrams took over, they have been promoting KO's show more prominently, making it the flagship of the network. The other shows have been moving more toward the center. Scarborough has been coming down hard on the GOP. Last week one evening Chris Matthews commented that he thought people were going to vote for Democrats and to get "the sleaze" out of Congress. It's definitely an improvement. I think Abrams may recognize that there is a moderate to left audience that is very under served, so he's making moves toward it. And, I'm so happy that they took Rita Cosby's show off - she's a disgrace.

4. Yep. The wind has shifted direction...
CNN ALSO had the Foley story going this morning. It's FAR from off the radar...

Wait until the Rove, Abramoff, Ralston stuff unfolds. IMO, it's gong to be one, busy week.

6. I something coming up? I saw where Ralston resigned, but...
not much else. I still think that story will be a hot one, if they bring it to the surface like it should be done. I have a feeling she is gone because of what she knows. Out of sight, out of mind.
