I was just chosen the Kucinich Delegate for our precinct in WA!!
I am so excited!!! Our tiny, rural, precinct had enough Kucinich supporters to make 22% and I was chosen the delegate for our county convention!
There were no Edwards or Clark supporters, just Dean, Kerry, and Kucinich.
And for our rural area (Kitsap County--across Puget Sound from Seattle) there was an incredible turnout--full parking lot and people of all ages streaming inside the building to caucus. It made me cry!! The whole experience was fantastic--people are angry, angry, angry at Bush and want a positive, hopeful, progressive change.
There is a huge movement underfoot and it will be great to see it turn into a huge wave!!!

11. They didn't have final numbers yet
when I left. It was close between Dean and Kerry. I'll post final numbers for Kitsap County when I hear them.

9. Thats Great !
We almost got 1 for DK but it broke down to 2 delegates for Kerry and 2 for Dean. Kerry almost got 3 but Tom put up a good debate for Dean.

17. Edwards and Clark didn't get delegates in my area of Island County either
And this is a relatively conservative district with the naval base here.

Clark is doing ok in other areas, but it doesn't look like WA state is going for Edwards, which isn't too much of a surprise.

And as I said elsewhere on this forum, the DK supporters are really making their voices heard here, which I'm very glad to see.

21. Rock on!
My mom got elected as a Dean delegate from our precinct. We had 14 delegates; 4 went for Dean, 4 went for Edwards, and 6 for Kerry. But then, I live in a relatively conservative area. It's a shame, Kucinich missed the deadline by 2 or 3 people ;_;

But yeah. It was pretty cool. I'm also trying to convince my mom to run for the State Assembly(?), because there's a Republican running (currently) unopposed.

31. Me TOO!
Go Kucinich!!!!!

I wouldn't sway my vote, but they tried! :) I think I'm the only Kucinich delagate from our caucus.

I'm in Kittitas county -

I can't tell you how many people told me they really love Dennis, but didn't think he was electable. I told them if EVERYONE that said that actually voted for him, he would BE electable!

There actually could be more Kucinich delegates from our caucus, but they were swayed to switch their votes to Dean. I was unyeilding in my support for Kucinich. As a result - I'm his delegate for my precinct! Thqank goodness not many of us showed up, or Kucinich wouldn't have gotten a delegate from our area at all.

32. See you at the county convention!
My precinct had 3 for Kerry, 2 for Dean, and 1 for Kucinich. I think overall Kucinich did well in Kitsap - that's just what I saw at our caucus. (Maybe we were at the same one?) Anyway, I'm going to the county convention as a delegate for Kerry, and my husband is an alternate for Dean. I was really happy to see my neighbors and other folks I see on the bus and on the ferry turn out and get involved.
