Diebold Added Secret Patch to Georgia E-Voting Systems in 2002, Whistleblowers Say

By Matthew Cardinale, News Editor, Atlanta Progressive News (September 28, 2006)

(APN) ATLANTA – Top Diebold corporation officials ordered workers to install secret files to Georgia’s electronic voting machines shortly before the 2002 Elections, at least two whistleblowers are now asserting, Atlanta Progressive News has learned.

Former Diebold official Chris Hood told his story concerning the secret “patch” to Robert F. Kennedy, Jr., for Kennedy’s second article on electronic voting in this week’s Rolling Stone Magazine.

Hood’s claims corroborate a second whistleblower who spoke with Black Box Voting and Wired News in 2003.

..more at link....

Why is Rolling Stone the only semi-MSM covering this... :grr:

5. Disney owns Rolling Stone? I didn't know that . But then again, if they
screw too much with that format, they'll destroy a huge moneymaker.

6. Diebold Cheating?
So Max Cleland's 5 point lead and the democratic Gov's 11 point lead ON
ELECTION DAY and then both of them be beaten by double digits wasn't
due to the "superior republican voter turn out methods?"

Wow what a shock.

http://www.rollingstone.com/politics/story/11717105/rob

BTW for those who haven't seem this Richard Philip Hayes' work on Ohio 04
(we have the data and the proof)

the ballots

that one is very interesting sticker over the Kerry hole = no vote opti scan
and Nader was ruled off the ballot .... how did he get on the ballot?

BTW Clarmont County, OH is where the "humidity" stopped the vote count
in Schmidt v Hackett 05.

about the media? in Ohio the media knows all this stuff too ... along w/ the NY Times &
Washington Post .... they are in "it" up their necks too.

9. there were some "miraculous" results in 2002
In Georgia, three GOP races were won with precisely 18,881 votes. The odds of that are astronomical. The Congress changed hands that year due to some outrageous overnight poll swings, all in favor of the GOP.

10. That was in Texas
Comal county TX. 3 repubs each handily won their election by 18,881 votes respectively. Oh, but that’s just coincidence. After a questionable election in Georgia, the hard drive of an EB machine was dissected by a university there where they discovered a file called “ROB GEORGIA”
Bush. Legitimacy? Repubs. Legitimacy?

11. I wrote a 2002 midterm postmortem
and ironically now can recall the precise number of votes in this particular episode of fraud correctly but not the state. My brain is an interesting place. Time to sweep up a bit, eh?

And that's why the 2003 report had no traction.
