If there is an honorable alternative, say a green candidate, thats who i vote for, if not then noone. If harris beats him, whatever, little difference now afaict.

4. I'm not willing to sell my soul for a win bullimiami. This is bullshit.
I think we have made our support known to these assholes and they just gave us the middle finger. If they don't have an integrity, I do.

21. But you give it for free to those who actually believe it
should be legal to roust you out of your bed late at night and hold you indefinitely with no contact with the outside world, no representation, no facing your accuser, a guilty verdict without you on anyone else seeing the evidence agings you, and maybe even a death penalty with no appeal.

HEY... maybe your soul is not being given away for free after all.

Remember. IF YOUR NOT WITH THEM YOU ARE AGAINST FREEDOM.

(damn, I sure hope you are not in the cell next to mine. What would have to talk about about? Oh yeah, we could talk about the Dems who chose a bad vote in an attempt to oust those who imprisoned us.

5. I second that
I called his office in DC and was told he would vote against it! I am really pissed and intend to let him know, he does not get my vote! I guess he felt he has a good lead over Harris and does not care what we think!

7. No difference between Nelson and Harris?!?
Ralph, is that you? I'd like to thank you for convincing so many people in Florida that there was no difference between Gore and Bush. Too bad America had to learn the hard way just how wrong you were.

9. gore is a good man, bush is evil.
harris is a right wing stooge nelson is a right wing enabler.

its not a good example.
there are good democrats, let me change that, there are good civilized people of integrity and morality, nelson is not one of them.

tell me what vote in the senate would be different now if harris had been there instead of nelson?

i dont think there is much, he joined the wrong side on most everything that was most important.

as you might be able to tell by the tenor of my posts, i have really reached my last, my very last, straw. i have tried and tried and tried but i have been let down now for the last time.

15. Then you do not understand the technical advantages
of being a majority party. There are old threads about this subject if you are interested.

17. Control of committees, that's what!!!
For God's sake, we can't do anything until we have the Speaker's chair and committee control. I know Nelson is a pig, but we still need that seat.

voted to for Levin's amendment.

http://senate.gov/legislative/LIS/roll_call_lists/roll_call_vote_cfm.cfm?congress=109&session=2&vote=00254

One of my Senators voted Yeah and the other Nay so one will get a thank you and the other will get a letter of regret. Don't know if it will do much good but at least I'll feel better. I just like to thank my Senators when they vote the way I feel represents my interests. Win or lose they, like all of us, only have one vote.

16. I'm quite sick over Stabenow
just sick over it. If she wins in November we must find a primary challenger for her in 6 years. Nothing reminds a candidate of the importance of their base like aprimary fight for the support of that base. Between now and then we need to get vocal with her and step up efforts to hold her accountable.

I am very unhappy about this. :grr: :grr: :grr: :grr:

18. WHY was this pushed at this time?
Edited on Thu Sep-28-06 08:14 PM by windbreeze
Maybe we better sit back and take stock...IF WE VOTE against all 12 of these Democrats, because they voted for this bill....who ends up the majority party? Who's the majority now...??? Evil people those R's, damned evil people...and the best thing we can do...is NOT let them WIN this game of chicken, we seem to be playing...what you wanna bet they have people watching this site and others, to see the reaction..and what they do next, will depend on what they see happening...WE CANNOT let them divide us, and encourage us to pull our support from those running for office, no matter how much it pisses us off...time enough to deal with some people, later...
